Our stay here was nothing but amazing, thanks to our large and luxurious room with its own jet spa. Most importantly the staff were just so proactive and friendly, nothing was a problem, always went out of their way to ensure bookings or find local restaurants, etc. The place is very convenient and close to all major attractions, we pretty... Our room was really pretty and very comfortable but it was really the staff that made this hotel special. The entire front desk starting with Rodrigo was outstanding. The included breakfast is HIGHLY recommended and again, the person serving us was outstanding.

Love the hotel, our room, location, and service. Wonderful hotel and staff. Very safe. Taxis are available all day and night right out in front of the hotel. Good food within 2-3 blocks. Hotel staff speaks excellent english and are all very friendly. The rooms are large and modern. The TV has dozens of channels in in English (use the... More

So let's get things straight ! This isn't a 5 star hotel nor is it one of those establishments that has lots of 'features' to keep you entertained... On one level, Casa Calma is pretty 'basic' ; on another it really is a fantastic value-for-money 'oasis'. It has only 17 bedrooms. The staff are superb - nothing from anyone was... More

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights in September. The outside is ordinary and the lobby is plain but the room was incredible ... spacious, light, modern style, a big hot tub and its own sauna. Amazing! We loved it. Great location for sight seeing the city. Have lunch nearby at Santos Manjares. Run by a lovely... More

There is very little to be added to the reviews for this amazing hotel. From the outside, it is easy to believe that a mistake has been made but step inside and such doubts are soon forgotten. We are very fussy travellers but the bedrooms are stunning, genuinely they are five star luxury. The bed, the incredible bathroom, the towels,... More

Casa Calma is not your normal hotel. It's small, it's very modern, and it's located so that many things you want to do in Buenos Aires can be reached on foot. In our view, it delivers unbeatable value for money. We have never encountered a hotel where the staff work so hard to make the guests stay pleasant. The staff... More

I loved this hotel. It was quiet and clean with large, sunny rooms. The green plants growing up the building make the rooms feel very private yet they are sunny and cheery. The street is quiet and the location is central. The staff is very helpful.

In addition to the wonderful relaxing accommodations, the staff at Casa Calma made our stay perfect! From helping book reservations, to personalized service their attention to the details helped make our visit to BA even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this small green gem in the city. The hotel is conveniently located near San Martin Square and also within easy... More

The hotel is quiet, small, near of all, have nice bamboo bikes, good air conditioning, a wonderfull jacuzzi in the room for two people and the staff resolve your problems. Clean every day. The day's weather and Chocolate in the bed. I'll be back soon. Congratulations.

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
