This is an excellent hotel with a very convenient location. Our room was spacious with a modern design format. The urban garden shielding the room from the street was a nice touch and gave a sense of privacy and quiet. The staff was extremely attentive, and made excellent recommendations on restaurants and sites to visit. They were also quick to... More

We spent five days at casa calma in June 2015 and had a wonderful experience. What a gorgeous hotel! A beautiful bed( I seriously need a king size bed at home!)and bathroom, really well designed with a lovely view. It's located in a great location in Retiro. After I casually stated that I was a bit tall for the shower,... More

We stayed here for two nights (our first in BA and Argentina) and it was a very comfortable place to tackle our jet lag. We stayed on the eighth floor, towards the back of the building, so it was nice and quiet. The bed was big and comfortable and the jacuzzi double bath was an awesome touch. It was our... More

We loved staying at the Casa Calma, spacious and comfortable rooms, that even have a jacuzzi and sauna. Staff work hard to resolve all as necessary, specially Diego was extremely attentive with me and my mother. Ideal location and Breakfast was ok, definitely recommend.

The hotel has a great atmosphere, its a small boutique hotel, quiet, clean, green, great!! Rooms are beautiful and comfy with a nice view from the glass windows a bit covered by plants, overlooking a charming street in the best area to be in Buenos Aires! We just loved the hotel and their friendly and helpful staff! They also have... More

We loved staying at the Casa Calma boutique hotel. There were four of us (we traveled with some friends, another couple). Both of our rooms were spacious and very serene. Our friends actually had a sauna in their room. The hotel staff was superb, very helpful and very accommodating. They offered lots of recommendations of sights to see and places... More

At this price, at this location, with such nicely furbished cute rooms, that even have a jacuzi and sauna, this hotel is unbeatable. Staff helpful and kind, hotel bar pleasant and a real secret gem in Buenos Aires! There are only very minor shortcomings and staff work hard to resolve them. Breakfast has all you would need and is a... More

Lovely hotel in ideal location. Staff were fantastic and really attentive, helping us to book activities and restaurants etc. The room was really spacious and comfortable, complete with jacuzzi bath! Breakfast was okay - selection could have been greater, but otherwise would definitely recommend.

Just spent 5 nights at this hotel, really enjoyed it. The staff are very attentive and very well trained and nothing is too much trouble, if they say they are going to do something it is done. All staff from front desk to cleaners are a credit to the place. The location is good, you are basically within 20 mins... More

Me and my husband stayed here for 5 days at the end of may. It is in a excellent location. On arrival the hotel staff gave me and my husband a list of recommended restaurants and tours to do which was very helpful. They also took the time out to guide us on our map where certain locations were and... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
