We went to Buenos Aires three times in our three months in Argentina. We didn't even think of staying anywhere else ! It was literally our home away from home. The location is great, within walking distance of both the City Center and San Telmo, and close to a Subte station. We tried dormitories and a double room, both are... More

Loved this place.staff are amazing, family run hostel. Great beds.Nice kitchen and rooftop terrace area. The chill out area is small enough but it means you can meet people so easily. Great breakfast, free eggs! BBQ nights on the terrace are the best. They also sell bus cards, travel adaptors etc..all alot cheaper than the shops too. Highly recommend this place its how... More

Sabatico is an example of how a few extra dollars goes leaps and bounds for comfort. Nearby hostel Kilca will be a better price but not a better deal, because at Sabatico your money goes a long way: stable Wi-Fi accessible in rooms and social areas; clean facilities free of rodents, bugs, and dirt; air conditioned dorms and common area;... We really enjoyed the stay at this hostel. Everything was good from very helpful reception desk, through amazing breakfasts to the room itself. Nice, clean, comfortable and friendly. Thanks so much for tips and very welcoming stay.

The hostal is very well located, near bus, subway and is very clean. The employees were very helpful, very nice. The decoration is very simple but there's everything you need ! There's hot water all the time, and you can even rent a bike for 100pesos which is the best thing to do in Buenos Aires. I totally recommend it... More

i loved this place. the vibe is great, the location is very convenient (and has a uggis pizza place close by too which is great) the amenities are fantastic and the building in itself feels like a home, with a lovely terrace, greenery everywhere and activities going on most nights (barbecues, movies, etc.) it is not the cheapest in Buenos... Stayed at this hostel intermittently during our trip in private rooms. We found everything about the rooms to be clean and we had no issues with the bathrooms either. All of the staff members were friendly, helpful and happy to give useful advice about the surrounding area. If you don't fancy walking too far to get to certain attractions in... More

I really liked the brakfast at this place. It was very complete; the staff was also very nice and helpful and the wifi was good, though the computers were not really useful. Kitchen is also good but only one fridge for the guests wasn't enough. I hate the location of this hostel. It's in a very dirty and desert street,... More

We stayed at Sabatico for 4 days till New Year's day and really had a great time. The staff was always extremely friendly and helpful, the social areas are nice, breakfast is excellent, and location is walking distance from the center and from San Telmo (don't miss the "feria" there on Sunday!). And the new year's party at the hostel... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
