This hotel is in a very safe neighbourhood close too some great restaurants (try the Gran Bar Danzon restaurant a block away that was delicious). The front staff were extremely courteous and helpful, always ready to help call a taxi or provide change and directions. The rooms were standard - having a full kitchen was nice. Everything was clean and... More

Perfectly located apartment hotel with large enough room that had everything we needed, excellent staff, and a good continental breakfast delivered to the room every morning. Spent 5 days over new year. Walking distance to major tourist attractions. Recoleta nice neighborhood, lots of small restaurants and shops.

The apartment is nice and clean. Its very close to the tourist areas, great shops, restaurants near by and easy to get a cab off the street. Not very far from the local landmark called the OBLISCO and more shopping around the OBLISCO. Internet wifi worked great as well as the television cable. The bad thing about the apartments is that... I have been to Ayres Libertad for a quick vacation over the weekend. The apartment is nice, good space and furniture. It is convinient located just besides Recoleta but out of the tourist area. Great shops, cafes and restaurants very close and easy location to get on a cab and go anywhere. Nice bathroom as well. Everything is very clean... More

This is a new hotel, with a big and nice room (at least mine was), very clean and in a very nice location. It is within a walk distance for a lot of interesting places to go. There is no room service and the minibar is empty. So, if you want water, beer or any other thing, you need to... More

The hotel was in a good location accessible to both the Recolata and Retiro areas. While not in the heart of either, the hotel area was safe and a short walk to attractions, restaurants and a high end mall. The rooms were clean, updated, spacious, comfortable and having a fridge, stove and microwave in the room was a plus. Most... More

We stayed here for a week, occupying one double and one triple room. The rooms were a nice size and the kitchenettes were quite convenient. We had no issues with the internet: it was free and fast. The staff was very accommodating, especially on the day we checked out, allowing us to use the workout room and pool while we... More

Excellent, central location, just some few blocks from all the nice restaurants in Barrio Norte/Recoleta. It's also a short walk to the San Martín area and to the once sparkling Santa Fé avenue (if you need a cash machine, that's the right place to go!). Very convenient for those who go to Buenos Aires to experience its restaurants and architecture:... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
