We enjoyed our stay in the apartments of Leonardo Da Vinci Residences. Our accommodation was a studio apartment over Easter in 2013. Kitchen was adequate for self catering. Great balcony overlooking the street to eat our meals on. Very clean. Fast wifi.

Our friends who live in Buenos Aires found this hotel for us, primarily because it was in a safe neighborhood and met our budget constraints. It turned out to be much better than just in a great neighborhood (Recoleta) and VERY reasonably priced. Our room was lovely, big bath, big bedroom with a very comfortable king bed, sweet balcony overlooking... More

We were 2 couples and supposed to move into an apartment we booked online. It turned out that none of the amenities in the apartment functioned. Luckily, we tried this LDV residence and they had 2 last premium apartments vacant. It was a salvation for us. The place is clean, beds are comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed.... More

We stayed at the Da Vinci for 3 nights in December 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were really helpful and spoke good English. Our room didn't have a balcony but the windows opened onto the street so we could watch the world go by and listen to the birds in the trees on the rare occasions we were... More

A great budget option. The room had everything necessary for a pleasant stay - including a well-equipped kitchen. The hotel is central and provides easy access to the city. The building is old so it has some funny quirks but I enjoyed my stay. The staff pretty much left me to my own devices and weren't as forthcoming with tourist... More

After reading some of these outdated reviews I was pleasantly surprised at the apartment.. Great room on the 5th floor with a balcony. Beautiful wooden floors and just a pleasure to stay in. Walking distance to many great areas. The kitchen was sufficient however lacking some basics (sharp knife). If I was gonna be picky then the bday didn't work... More

I've stayed for 10 days on Da Vinci and I don't have a single word to complain about it. I wanted to do a low-cost trip, so I had in mind that i wouldn't stay in a 5-star-hotel. I was looking for a bed and a ceiling to sleep while I was enjoying this city during the day. Therefore, I was... More

We were staying at Da Vinci Residence in March 2012. At the fifth day of the staying at this hotel a robber broke into our closed room and stole a laptop and about €250 from the locked suitcase. I think somebody from personnel participated in that robbery because a robber knew exactly he was going to go for. Nothing more... More

This residence advertizes a swimming pool, yet when we asked for instructions where to find it, we were told that it is only for the private apartments. When pressed, the clerk said that it was only for people staying in deluxe apartments costing 4 times the rate we were paying per night, False advertising! The owners seem to have given... More

They want their money back, so they are saying all these kind of things. They rented for only one night and since they arrived, they "threatened" me by saying that if they liked the department, they would rented it for more nights. They stayed for 2 or 3 nights longer (I can not remember) My question is: If they had... More

We went twice (at the beginning and end of a trip in Argentina): first time, the appartment they gave us was not even alike to none of the pictures. Very disappointing. I asked a change and they denied. So, I asked which would be our place for our next time. So they showed an appartment that would be similar to... More

Staying in Retiro

Neighborhood Profile
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighborhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
