Firstly the good, very nice breakfast, and the staff where friendly and helpful and the location is quite good. However, the bad. When we arrived on the first day, the hot water was not working. Our room was nothing like the photo's. It was fairly pokey in the room and the bathroom was no more than a closet. The kitchen... More

This place is nothing like described on the website I booked it. We probably got the worst room! It was discussing, smelly and bathroom was horrible. It was room 24. My parents room was not better with a smell that did not wash away. The location is only OK. Lots of noises and dangerous at night. I am usually really... More

The hotel is in a handy location. We stayed in a loft room, which was roomy, but the bathroom was so small that we had to brush our teeth, wash our hands etc in the kitchenette sink. Our room, number 24, faced the street and the noise from the street was constant, who would have thought buses would travel down... More

It was a nightmare! We arrived on a Sunday evening, the lonely counter employee could't find the key, the reception area is the size of a bathroom, so my husband had to wait outside because our luggage was too much for the space! 2 suitcases and 2 carry-ons! The rooms we were shown were horrible! Stuffy, smelled of mould, the... More

In all I staied seven nights at this very friendly appart/hotel. Extremely well located, with lots of transportation and restaurants around the corner. The most important issue for me, being alone, was safety and this place provide it! Also lots of space and equipped with a full kitchen. It is better to stay in one of the lofts which facethe... I'm on an extended stay in Buenos Aires (2 weeks) and I am so lucky a friend recommended Loft y Arte. The rooms are all decorated differently, very fun and comfortable. The staff have been super fantastic and accommodating to my every need and question. I love the location. Central to anywhere you need to go, the subway, grocery, restaurants..... More

This hotel is located in a very busy area. Being light sleepers, I asked for a quieter room months before our arrival A few days before arriving, they sent an e-mail explaining that we could not get quieter room for first night because of a water leak. Terrible sleep on that first night as disco across the street. Next morning,... More

This hotel was so disappointing I will not even waste my time describing it. Were supposed to stay here for 5 nights but left the first morning. Make sure you don`t ruin your holiday booking this.

we read all the reviews before we booked this place and we really didn't knew what to expect. I can tell you now that this hotel is quite nice a good value for your money. It's located right in the center and the room are very comfortable and big. The breakfast is also nice but basic like the rest of... More

Staying in Montserrat

Neighborhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighborhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
