If you are looking for an alternative to the Milhouse book here. The most comfortable bed I have stayed in yet, lots of party activities going on but also quiet in the dorms for catching up on sleep. Front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and being able to book everything from accom to tours and pay all in... More

Stay here if sleeping isn't a priority! I stayed on the second floor and it was very loud throughout the night. It's a funky building, staff was adequate but they didn't go the extra mile like some other hostels in the city. The shared bathrooms need updating to keep water from splashing around so much, or perhaps more frequent cleaning... More

My friends and I had an awful stay here! We had expected a friendly, clean hostel and were shocked by what we experienced. On arrival we received absolutely no info and the guy just pointed to our room. The room was dirty, small and stuffy, not to mention how noisy it was at night. The bathrooms were filthy and a... Constant noise all night and all day. Options are rooms by the noisy reception, rooms by the common kitchen and noisy-non-stop traffic stairs, and rooms by the bar and patio. Allegedly there are quiet hours but the staff has no interest in enforcing this, normally contributing to the chaos themselves. On the positive: the building is charming with a decent... More

We stayed here for 2 months whilst studying Spanish nearby, we really liked the chilled out atmosphere and the San Telmo area. The cleaners were particularly good at keeping the hostel tidy especially the kitchen which most people left in a state. Our room was right opposite the kitchen and sometimes people would be in there cooking and being loud... More

Art Factory Hostel was our second hostel in BA and we are glad we stayed here. Located on a rather "quiet" street in BA, it is still close to Plaza de Mayo, Puente de la Mujer, and San Telmo. The building has it's traditional character inside with a large social/living area to meet people and read. The roof top patio... More

Spent 5 nights here in dorm 2, a 4 bed dorm near the bar. The good things about this place are the spacious dorms, the art covering every wall, the rooftop terrace, cheap drinks. Each bed has a small light which is also useful. Beds are pretty comfortable. Rooms are cleaned daily (even if the room is full of sleeping... More

One thing to pack before you get to this hostel: FLASH LIGHT There is something seriously wrong with the amount of electricity this hostel saves; you almost have to walk around with a flash light coz most of the places are in darkness.. the rooms are rather average, no air conditioning what so ever and no windows for ventilation either... I was very satisfied with my stay at Art Factory. This was the rare time where I got my own room, however, so I can't speak to the dormitories. As for the four singles (sans bath) rooms I checked out, I'd easily recommend #16 (where I stayed) as #9 fronts a hall with a window rather abruptly downstairs, #18 fronts... More

We spent 3 nights here back in December 2013. The vibe at this hostel is awesome - music and drinks flowing on the rooftop bar, and awesome art over every inch of walls. Positives: the daily breakfast is very good...scrambled eggs, breads, cereals, juice, coffee etc. The drinks in house are pretty cheap, and there is usually an event on... More
