We really enjoyed our stay here and the suite was perfect! Stayed 3 nights at the beginning of our trip - the location was very convenient, safe, close to shops, restaurants and main streets. We then headed to Puerto Madryn and El Calafate. We returned for an extra 4 nights and our new suite was on the top floor with... More

Although there was apparent humidity problems on the walls, the hotel is very clean, smells good and the staff is very, very helpful. Nice continental breakfast. Very close to the Santa Fe avenue, Callao street, Alto Palermo Shopping and some subway stations, but not too close to the restaurants and nightlife. The service could have been 100% if they cleaned-up... More

Good acomodations and good location. Very close from Alto Palermo mall this hotel allows you to go with a price of 20 to 35 argentenian pesos (by taxi) to the main places in Buenos Aires. Staff is extremelly helpful in case of any tours or visit arrangements. This hotel doesn't have a swimming pool and a fitness center, just to... More

We stayed at this hotel in late December 2011, which had a certain impact on the price. But even considering this it was extremely high compared to any other capital on this or the European continent. For this price we expected a well-maintained hotel with friendly service ... and were disappointed. We stayed there as a family, I.e. two adults... More

place was just awful. jackhammering, and no offer of a room change until i asked twice. front desk person was unhelpful -- bellman was very nice and clearly embarrassed. place was not clean. room i was finally moved to had a malfunctioning fan in the bathroom that sounded like a jet engine with loose parts. downstairs smelled like it had... We just returned from a trip to Buenos Aires. This hotel was a huge suite with a small kitchenette and sink area. Located between Palermo and Recoletta we found it not too far of a walk to either area and a short cab ride to SoHo, SoHo Hollywood and downtown. The room was very clean and comfortable with a very... More

Excellent big room and clean bathroom, big bed. Helpful staff who speak English and have great suggestions on what to do and where to eat. The subway station is a few blocks away - the hotel is a bit too far out of the main areas to walk there (like Palermo or downtown), but the subway is cheap and easy.... More

If one aspect hold true from the comments I read at Tryp advisor, is that people were really, really nice. I am happy I read the comments on how noisy it could be – we insisted in a room at higher floors and it would have been really bad if we were closer to the street. Amenities are meager and... More

The location is very safe and very close to all local attractions (close to parks, squares, banks, galeria pacifico, Calle Florida, etc...). Breakfast was very good and included in the price. The room was not as cozy as i would prefer, a bit outdated (and cold in the winter!), but it was comfy. I think it's a very good option... More

Staying in Recoleta

Neighborhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterized by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighborhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centered on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
