When we stayed the hostel was changing hands to new owners. Be aware the name may change. They were totally disorganised and helpful. Room was OK but I expected a bit more at the price. Roof top terrace is lovely and breakfast was fine. The big problem was that the rude owners decided to throw a party for their friends... More

As you can see on the pictures and in most reviews, this is a nice hotel, great location, the rooms have a certain style and the roof terrace has a lot of charm. And considering the moderate price for it, you'll think that this is a great deal. But it is not. First, every member of the staff (3 different... More

After extensive research (hello, Lonely Planet had this place as a pick) my friend & I decided to book an extended stay at this hostel. A few weeks before we checked in, I e-mailed to confirm that they got our reservation from hostelbookers, etc & they responded promptly and were incredibly nice. Then, I noticed that they got a few... More

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights, left our bags there and went to Uruguay for a few days, and stayed there on our return. Our review of our first stay would be scathing, but our review of our second stay would be full of praise. Our first stay - We were given the key to our... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and ended up covered in bed bug bites. Noticed dead bugs in the bed as we were packing to check out. Sent an email to them and was ignored, it seems they're trying to not acknowledge the problem. Also a very noisy place(even for a backpackers!). People walking the stairs to the rooftop are heard... The photos posted on their website, they are with what you find yourself upon arrival. When I claimed the owners were not present, not even by telephone. The sheets were all stained like the covers. The bathrooms smelled bad and the towels were all broken. The morning receptionist was always sleeping and we had to play many times for us... More

We had booked this place for 5 nights but left after the first night, without much sleep, we still had to pay nearly the full amount though. Maybe the double private room is nice, we had the triple with a bathroom outside, which wasn't very nice at all. The room was a little depressing, very small and unconfortable beds and... More

This hostel asks for a 50% payment up front for your stay, and then full payment when you arrive, before you even check into your room. Because my flight was cancelled, I had to delay my check-in by two days. When I notified them in advance, they replied saying it was not a problem. It wasn't until after I checked... More

This is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Three of us shared a room with a balcony that overlooked Armenia Park right in the heart of Palermo Soho for two nights over a weekend in late August. Booking the hotel via email was a breeze with very professional staff and that didn't change when we arrived. Staff... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighborhood Profile
Best known as the largest neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favorite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
