the 'Lavanta' Hotel is the perfect choice for those wishing to avoid the Bodrum crush and yet still enjoy the area. Maria & Tosun are fine, genial hosts providing exceptional service in a truly delightful & superbly comfortable setting. Maria's attention to detail and perfection in the kitchen she supervises made for a memorable experience each time we sat down... more

My husband and I are Australian, have travelled around a lot, and so are discerning we like to think when it comes to holidays and hotels. We're not interested in 5 star bland accomodation - would be just as happy in a clean, comfortable pension as long as it does what it says on the tin. Lavanta is one of... more

I originally wanted to stay a few days in one location but for reasons i now forget ended up staying here as well as at the marmara and I was NOT disappointed. small, charming, friendly, clean, excellent food and wonderful location. I have to hand it to Carol at http://wwwiliostravel.com she really knows her stuff. Without her recommendation, diligence in... more

The Lavanta Hotel is a very special place. Perched on a hill above the small charming port village of Yalikavak, it provided my family with one of our most memorable holidays. For seven days we enjoyed the beautiful and spacious pool, lush bougainvillea and oleander in full bloom and exquisite Turkish food and hospitality. I travelled to Turkey specifically to... more

I noticed there was no review for 2008. My wife (Russian) and I (American) have just returned from Lavanta. It is easy to be seduced by descriptions of the Greek islands. But Turkey is a jewel in the crown. Once there, it is hard to think of being any place else. The owner / operators are dedicated to excellence. And... more

The views from our beautifully appointed room and the dining areas were lovely. The food was great and the owners and staff were friendly and helpful. This was a great place to relax and enjoy a wander around the coast. Our 5 yr old son just loved the pool and talking to the staff who always had lots of time... more

Our stay in Turkey was exceptional but the highlight of the trip was without any doubt the two days that we stayed with Maria and Tosun at their incredible oasis at Yalikavik. Perched high on a hilltop, our beautifully decorated room with balcony overlooked the harbour. The sunsets were stunning. The home cooked meals were as good as any we... more

We were joining a group of friends and were booked to go gulet sailing, so we looked for a Hotel near to Turgetreis - and with the divine help of Serendipity, we found the Lavanta. This small hotel is in a stunningly beautiful location but, for us, the absolute bonus was the warm and genuine welcome we received from Tosun... more
