We loved our stay at the Hotel dos Templarios. It is modern and comfortable. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river and park. It was spacious and clean. There is a health club attached, but we did not use it. We got plenty of exercise walking around the old town area of Tomar, which was an easy 5 minute... More

This hotel had a smell in the hallway and my room was not impressive. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was good and the staff were well trained and friendly. The food did not excite me, but I did not come to Portugal for the food.

My husband and I spent one night here on our way from Porto to Lisbon. Of all the hotels we stayed at during our week in Portugal, this one was the only one that appeared to be busy and heavily occupied. The hotel must have been hosting a convention of some sort because there were tons of people milling about... More

We were a bit taken aback by the size of this hotel - it reminded us of resort hotels in Tenerife. But it was very comfortable and the outdoor pool was very attractive. Our room overlooked the entrance but the double glazing was effective at keeping out the noise. The room was large and well equipped but the shower was... More

Welcoming staff and quiet hotel despite being fairly full when we visited. Our superior room on 3rd floor was very comfortable with huge bed, big robes and well kitted- out bathroom. TV had programs in English. Dual aspect windows had a gorgeous view over the river and gardens. It was a pleasant stroll into the picturesque town where we dined... More

We spent one night here in September on our way to Opporto. The superior room we opted for was excellent - very spacious with excellent facilities and fine furniture. Much better than we had expected. The hotel is very conveniently situated for visits to the old town. We enjoyed a very good breakfast and though we didn't use it the... More

This was also an old school hotel. Rooms were quite large with a huge king size bed. The restaurant was excellent. I would have wanted to buy some of their towels, with a great knight Templar logo, but they would not sell them :(. The pool was good too and the restaurant served to us best food that we had... This is the best hotel in Tomar and one of the best in the region. Well worth driving too if you want a great experience. The hotel is located on the Nabo river and overlooks the town and the Convento is a great view when you open the curtains in the morning. The staff are top notch and the restaurant... More

We really liked the room. We took a superior room, which was big, there was no terrace, which we did not mind. Staff was friendly, breakfast fantastic! However we also had dinner at the restaurant, which was very disappointing. It seemed the chef forgot to use spices. I expected more from the restaurant as the hotel itself was high class.
