Just off the main road to Zambujeira do Mar but yet pleasantly quiet is this beautiful B&B in the Alentejo region. The area is stunning with a lot of beaches and cliffs towering the Atlantic coastline. The owners are amazing, the rooms set in a rural and comfortable way and the breakfast is just gorgeous. Thanks to a dinner-free Festival... More

Excellent to get away, near Zambujeira do Mar to get to good beaches. Staff friendly, Accomodation, facilities, access; everything very good... The breakfast is excellent, almost a brunch!! They have towels for the pool, several bikes to get around in Zambujeira, a self-service bar... All in a relaxed surrounding. The Studios have micro kitchen and fridge. They are very suitable... The rooms are basic but definitely provide what you need (small fridge, TV,..). They have a nice terrace with self service bar outside, the breakfast was just PERFECT! Nice clean and big pool. You can even use bikes if you like. Zambujeira do mar is 1 KM away and offer a great beach and lots of restaurants. Only remark: Kinda... More

What a delightful B&B and one we shall definitely be returning to - next time hopefully the weather will be kinder! And we shall get to try out the very inviting looking pool. Our welcome from Claudia set the scene for a perfect stay, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely lounge, the evening candles so relaxing. And the breakfast, one... More

We stayed 6 nights in early September. We needed a peacecful, quiet break and Monte do Papa Leguas was exactly what we needed! I don't know where to start with praising this place. The hospitality was just exquisite, Claudia went the extra mile to make us feel welcomed and at home, and we cannot thank her enough for that. As... More

This is a beautiful part of the country and this hotel is a lovely rural retreat from the (low key in June) bustle of Zambujeira do Mar. We stayed for two nights in mid June and did part of the fisherman's trail in both directions which is well marked with good maps outside the church down in Zambujeira do Mar.... More

Advantages: First and foremost - breakfasts! I have to admit, I usually don't sleep in TOP20 world hotels, but I have been here and there, and have never been so much spoiled by the breakfast. Homemade cake, natural juice fresly squeezed, fruits etc. The drawback is that breakfast starts at 9, so if you are running/biking or having other activities... More

This B&B is more like a hostel than a hotel - no-one lives there at night. It consists of 5 rooms and 3 converted stables, with a communal area and pool, all created from a farmer's field in the middle of the countryside, but quite close to Zambujeira and the sea. Plus points: - quiet - large pool - quaint... More

We've been there for 3 nights and will return, for sure. The breakfast was amazing: eggs, orange juice, fresh cheese, fruit and breads, homemade cakes. A cozy place with lots of trees and a swiming pool. Very friendly staff

We've just returned from a three night stay. The bedrooms are slightly dark, but they remain cold during hot days. The beds were slightly hard. As cyclists we were delighted to find a bath with lashings of hot water, and a fridge with small ice compartment for our drinks. The pool area is beautiful and is sheltered by pine trees.... More
