I agree with all the positive reviews. Was here for 2 nights in September before heading further to Gili T. Rooms were lovely, very clean. I was a bit afraid of the outdoor bathroom first but then was surprised that we saw no insects at all. The staff was very nice and attentive. When checking out I forgot my bikini.... More

Beautiful small resort, only ten rooms.. Very beautifully designed around interconnected fish ponds. Staff amazing and helpful. Spa was fantastic and inexpensive. Outdoor shower and toilet, loved it, beach vibe! Breakfast was delicious. Right on the water, so you can just take a dip in the crystal clear water or the gorgeous pool. Will return. Ps:it is not in Balinese... More

I only stayed here for 1 night before traveling to the Gilis. It was a really lovely stay, the room was beautiful and clean, as was the outdoor bathroom. I didn't venture anywhere else in Candidasa and was very impressed with the restaurant food, drinks and service. The restaurant has delightful ocean front views too! My only little issue, and... After coming from Fawlty Towers this place was like heaven. Beautiful rooms with everything you need, compact but all there. Good quality fittings & linen, very comfortable bed. Nice pool but a bit tight for sun baking. Right on the water front with a restaurant. Also has a diving operation for the sporty.

We stayed at Alam Asmara for 3 nights, and had a very relaxing and enjoyable time there. The staff was quite attentive, and the hotel is nicely maintained. It is a small hotel, with only about 10 rooms, so quite an intimate setting. There is a connected water pond through the whole resort, with koi fish swimming around, which contributes... More

We stayed for 7 nights in July after reading such positive reviews on Tripadvisor. The hotel is beautifully designed with fish ponds between each of the rooms and a small patio at the front of each room, screened by plants to provide privacy. The rooms are lovely - well maintained, very clean, nice outdoor bathrooms and serviced daily. The hotel... More

Our recent stay at Alam Asmara was fantastic. We have arranged to have a commitment ceremony during at the hotel and the staff were super helpful. The ceremony was wonderful and the staff had made trails of flowers to our room and throughout our room...it was beautiful and very romantic. The outdoor bathroom is also lovely. The hotel itself is... More

Great helpful staff with exceptional personalized service. The resort has great decor, private and surrounded by many restaurants. Definitely a great place to stay. If you are a diver, you would definitely appreciate the dive planning, organization and logistics - they have thought of everything from a takeaway meals to equipment cleaning area in the resort.

Just stayed with my wife in the Alam Asmara for two nights. A super, small, condensed 'gem' close to the Candidasa temple and a small lake. Very romantic rooms with all amenities expected. All rooms are the same. Excellent, professional staff and, above all .... a great restaurant with a perfect service. Breakfast with a super view on the four... More

We stayed here for only one day but we will certainly come back. The hotel has a very nice layout, the kitchen of the adjoining restaurant is very good but the real asset of the resort is the very friendly staff. We highly recommend this resort!
