Rooms are cleaned twice daily, and each time the bed is beautifully decorated with flowers. The resort is right on the ocean, the restaurant and pool are overlooking the sea and there are great breakfast options. All in all it is a well priced choice in Candi Dasa with shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. On top of that... More

This was our first trip to Candidasa and 3 nights at Alam Asmara was definitely not enough for us. The rooms were quite small but lovely and had everything you needed. The outdoor bathroom was huge. You could hear the ocean at night as you were falling asleep. Bliss! The pool was small but again not an issue as there... More

We have again woken after a great nights sleep to the gentle sounds of the ocean. Only 10 nights into a three week stay here and loving every aspect of this magnificent resort. Our lovely clean decorated cottage has everything we need with the large semi outdoor bathroom being the highlight. The staff here are of the highest standard we... More

We have stayed here before and again it was a great spot. My wife and I both had a touch of Bali belly and just hanging out in the room or at the pool was very comfortable and relaxing. Hard to beat the view from the restaurant. Nice to have a TV to occupy time with an iffy stomach. It... More

We enjoyed the clean, beautiful cottages with excellent A/C. Outstanding value for the money. Staff were execeptionally friendly and knew us by name. The only weak spot was the drinks in the hote bar were bitter or served room-temperature (in the case of a daiquiri we had to send back to be blended with ice). The spa is worth a... More

I agree with all the positive reviews. Was here for 2 nights in September before heading further to Gili T. Rooms were lovely, very clean. I was a bit afraid of the outdoor bathroom first but then was surprised that we saw no insects at all. The staff was very nice and attentive. When checking out I forgot my bikini.... More

Beautiful small resort, only ten rooms.. Very beautifully designed around interconnected fish ponds. Staff amazing and helpful. Spa was fantastic and inexpensive. Outdoor shower and toilet, loved it, beach vibe! Breakfast was delicious. Right on the water, so you can just take a dip in the crystal clear water or the gorgeous pool. Will return. Ps:it is not in Balinese... More

I only stayed here for 1 night before traveling to the Gilis. It was a really lovely stay, the room was beautiful and clean, as was the outdoor bathroom. I didn't venture anywhere else in Candidasa and was very impressed with the restaurant food, drinks and service. The restaurant has delightful ocean front views too! My only little issue, and... After coming from Fawlty Towers this place was like heaven. Beautiful rooms with everything you need, compact but all there. Good quality fittings & linen, very comfortable bed. Nice pool but a bit tight for sun baking. Right on the water front with a restaurant. Also has a diving operation for the sporty.

We stayed at Alam Asmara for 3 nights, and had a very relaxing and enjoyable time there. The staff was quite attentive, and the hotel is nicely maintained. It is a small hotel, with only about 10 rooms, so quite an intimate setting. There is a connected water pond through the whole resort, with koi fish swimming around, which contributes... More
