Fairy Glen Safari was a convenient safari not far from Capetown. The tour operator was very knowledgeable and was versed in the local customs and culture. We felt that Fairy Glen genuine belt loved caring for their residents. The elephant stole the show!

We came here as part of a whistle stop visit to Cape Town - its proximity to Cape Town makes it an ideal half day destination and we booked at short notice with no problems. Our tour guide was great, v knowledgable and clearly cares about the animals. Lunch in the lodge is also recommended. Don't come here expecting lions... More

I loved this place - especially the Rangers who are superb. The nature walk (at 4:30pm for an hour plus) and safari (3 hours or so in the morning for us at 9pm) that you get are both great. Saw lots, and lots of animals - lions, elephants (which you can feed at 8pm after dinner), zebra, antelope, springbok, rhino,... More

The animals are either fenced in (lions, buffalos) or walked across the property following guards carrying a bag of carrots (elephants).... a rather pathetic sight. No leopards except a stuffed one, no giraffes, no khoi san rock art as advertised... unless the foot of the wall of the dam we were taken to for the 'walk' is considered such.... maybe... More

Having been to Aqulia and Inverdoorn we we disappointed as the game reserve boasts the Big Five however there were 2 Elephants 2 Rhinos 6 Lions and 3 Water Buffalo which were not allowed to roam as the Rhinos had been poached for their horns and would not have been able to protect themselves and the biggest disappointment was the... This was a nice park / resort to do a one-day game drive from Cape Town. Peter, the excellent driver, picked us up at our hotel and brought us to the lodge for a buffet lunch that was fine for a day trip. A special thank -you to Peter. I left my back pillow in the van when he dropped... More

Had a really nice day out at Fairy Glen, picked up at hotel in Capetown and had a brilliant journey over the mountain road rather than the tunnel, fantastic scenery, on arrival at Fairy Glen had a good breakfast and then was taken around the game reserve, saw 4 of the big 5, and the setting was beautiful, finished off... For us it was perfect as we are staying in Cape Town so it's 1.45hr away. It is a small safari but for us it was perfect. We arrived and had a nice lunch, we hung around for an hr or so. We left exactly in time. The guide was really good, helpful and informative. It took around 2.45hrs. I... More

We decided to spend Christmas day away from home on a game drive followed by Christmas lunch. Sadly our expectations were not met. Fairy Glen it is a smaller area for the animals, but we do not like to see animals in enclosures - namely the lions and buffalo. To us the buffalo looked depressed. They were not in the... More

Just did the Fairy Glen day safari and it was described exactly the way it was! An hour from CT and had four of the big 5! It was not a let down and in fact it was a definite bucket list tick! We got so close ( almost too) close lol but the guide was so informative and confidence... More
