First of all you should know the difference between a game reserve and a National park. A game reserve can be compared to a very very big ( in hectares ) zoo in a natural setting where you can experience wildlife , nature as it is . Now when it's established what to expect this is a very accomplished game... More

My wife and I visited Fairy Glen for one night on our honeymoon, and were very impressed with it. We came knowing not compare it to far larger game reserves elsewhere, and so were not at all disappointed by it! Visitors should recognise that it is not trying to be Kruger or some other far larger game park where one... More

We visited end of February 2014 the Fairy Glen Safari Worcester (day tour from Cape Town). It costs a lot of money entrance and the safari was poor. Animals in prision - no big 5. Disapponiting performance! Where were the big 5? Overspended money for poor safari and caged/inprisioned animals. This "safari" was not worth the money!!!! We will not... More

We visied Fairy Glen October 2013, its ok if you do not have expectations of seeing big 5, lovely scenic views, elephants stuck in sheds, lions in enclosed area that looked like they wouldn't move if a lamb walked past, food ok staff are nice, but waste of money if you want more than good views and a meal

Can't say enough good things about fairy glen, great food, great surroundings, welcoming and value for money. If you are in Africa for Safari only holiday or have time for a 3-5 day safari then yes go to Kruger but if you have limited time, want to see animals close up and positive conservation then this is a great place.... I recently had a brief stopover in Cape Town and used the opportunity to head out to Fairy Glen. Could not recommend it more highly for anybody else in that situation. It was easy to get to, in a beautiful location and well operated by friendly staff. My guide for the overnight stay (Shaun) was fantastic and definitely made the... More

Actually, if you define the place as bad you would still be doing it a favor. It is worse than that. The place is all about marketing and sales. Nobody is saying that profit or revenue should not be an integral part of their business enterprise/model but considering how expensive it is the value is not there. They shipped in... More

We stayed here for one night and loved it. The chalets face onto the Savannah and you can you watch the animals roaming from your room. The area is breathtaking as the sun goes down. Due to the park being smaller you do actually get to see the animals rather then driving around for days and seeing nothing. We actually... More
