We visited the place for two nights. This was a great and practical place for those who want to make "quick" safaris close to Capetown - especially for younger kids who don't have patience for longer tours. The rangers were good and we saw enough animals. Bathing and diving elephants were really worth seeing. The food was tasty and the... More

Fairy Glen was a wonderful experience, especially for kids who are not old enough to travel or visit a traditional safari. Only an hour outside Cape Town, it was an easy drive. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to lovely lodging. We had time to watch all the zebra and buck outside our lodge. We had a pre-dinner... More

My friend and I spent a day and a half here in March and I must say it was a wonderful experience. We had fabulous accommodation - very spacious and we could not fault the food at the restaurant. The evening walk was very interesting and the 3 hour mini safari the following morning was exellent. My favourites were the... More

Fairy Glen is a family run game reserve. Every single staff member is exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The game drives were great fun as well as very interesting, with many different animals to be seen. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Every single dish. Our kids keep asking when we can go back. They loved being able to swim after... More

Fairy Glen Safari was a convenient safari not far from Capetown. The tour operator was very knowledgeable and was versed in the local customs and culture. We felt that Fairy Glen genuine belt loved caring for their residents. The elephant stole the show!

We came here as part of a whistle stop visit to Cape Town - its proximity to Cape Town makes it an ideal half day destination and we booked at short notice with no problems. Our tour guide was great, v knowledgable and clearly cares about the animals. Lunch in the lodge is also recommended. Don't come here expecting lions... More

I loved this place - especially the Rangers who are superb. The nature walk (at 4:30pm for an hour plus) and safari (3 hours or so in the morning for us at 9pm) that you get are both great. Saw lots, and lots of animals - lions, elephants (which you can feed at 8pm after dinner), zebra, antelope, springbok, rhino,... More

The animals are either fenced in (lions, buffalos) or walked across the property following guards carrying a bag of carrots (elephants).... a rather pathetic sight. No leopards except a stuffed one, no giraffes, no khoi san rock art as advertised... unless the foot of the wall of the dam we were taken to for the 'walk' is considered such.... maybe... More

Having been to Aqulia and Inverdoorn we we disappointed as the game reserve boasts the Big Five however there were 2 Elephants 2 Rhinos 6 Lions and 3 Water Buffalo which were not allowed to roam as the Rhinos had been poached for their horns and would not have been able to protect themselves and the biggest disappointment was the...
