Just stayed in the Dorpshuis for 4 days and can definitely not recommend it. Firstly it is loacted at a busy intersection and traffic is quite noisy in the room. I stayed at the Dorpshuis for a few days while at a conference at the University. The service was exemplary throughout my stay. For our trip through the Westcape region we had booked another hotel in Stellenbosch as our first hideout but since that hotel was overbooked we were transferred to the Protea Dorpshuis Hotel.
