No towels, no milk, no contact number for help (cell), owner's son plays crappy afrikaans music at full blast. Room has nothing good about it. Quality poor all round. Cant find any kind words at this stage.... O ja, green pool. Do yourself a favor and close down your website.

I have never in my life experienced such poor customer service and a complete lack of interest from management staff. On arrival at the farm there was no one available to check us into our room - we spent the better part of 30 minutes wandering around trying to locate someone to assist and making numerous unanswered phone calls When... It was very nice accommodation and staff very friendly. I recommend to stay in this estate. It is just few km from great city. The farm very nice and my child like fishing. You can get great time with family or friends in alluvia estate. I like the design of accommodation. I recommend this estate strongly.

Upon arrival, wen wanted to enter the estate bz using the intercom. All the numbers except for the mansion were unusable (number 1 for reception was "not assigned"). Finally got someone to answer the intercom. It took another 10 minutes to get someone to open the gates. Drove down to reception. A woman stood there with a sour expression, asking... More

Dear Claire When guests contact us regarding bookings for wedding parties we normally recommend nearby establishments as well, as seen in the email written to you by Vicki mentioning that she only have one other room available, so if you might be looking for other accommodation as well for your guests, the mention of the other guest houses and estates... We have timeshare at Alluvia and it is the third time we were there for a week. The state of neglect is still the same as I have reported before.......carpets, curtains, linen need to be replaced. Carpets really dirty for a 'so called' upmarket place. The bad thing is that my camera was stolen out of my room. It is... More

Had a friend's wedding close by - and stayed here with a few of the extended family. Essentially - nothing was wrong with it - but there is just no reason to write home, It was really nice - just what was needed to stay in Stellenbosch, close to town, but far enough to enjoy the views (AMAZING). Beautiful setting... More

We stayed in one of the nice(st) suites. The room had a cosy, nostalgic feel to it. You could really feel the farmhouse / country-ness.Breakfast came in a picnic basket and there were sheep roaming outside. There are lots of activities to do at the estate. The room was a little dusty and irritated my allergies. The bathroom was clean though... More

We arrived quite late, 10pm, there was NO-ONE there to open or welcome us. Eventually a guard arrived after we waited in the dark road for 30 mins. We found that Alluvia was a disappointment for our two night stay in April. We booked the honeymoon sweet "Clovelly". It was spacious but but a bit shabby, more like 3 *.... More
