I stayed in stellenbosch with a large group of friends and we were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door when we were offered tea and home made apple and poppy seed cake. The guest house is perfectly proportioned in that it is large enough to feel luxurious and yet small enough to feel personal.... More

We had the most amazing time in Summerwood, all the staff were so helpful and friendly. We were greeted on arrival with tea, coffee and freshly baked cake. The rooms and and bathrooms were impeccably clean and had everything we needed. There was a lovely lounge area where you could use the computer facilities, listen to an extensive collection of... Very lovely guest house located near the downtown in Stellenbosch. They have very comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. There is also off-street parking available. The staff are very friendly and willing to help make restaurant bookings as needed.

it was really an excellent stay! Very friendly staff was ready to greet me. The room was very comfortable, spacious and the sherry was well appreciated! The breakfast was of a high quality and much to choose from. It is very near to the inner circle of town, I can definitely recommended this Guest House.

We stayed here for 2 nights while on our honeymoon. We arrived around 7pm and we were shown around the house straight away and led to our bedroom. They have a book with menus of local restaurants that they recommend so we picked one we liked and it was booked for us - great service! We went to De Cameron... More

Excellent location! Every effort to ensure that we had a memorable stay! The décor and personal touches were outstanding. The breakfast selection was of a the highest quality and very tasty. The running path to Jonkershoek must be experienced.

Room was nice, and decor in the guesthouse stunning! We however did not have a good sleep as there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom. We mentioned it to the staff the next morning and they simply said it was because drains were cleaned the night before. Suggestion: maybe don't rent out rooms if drains are cleaned and... More

Dear traveler Please accept our sincerest apologies for what happened. We were not aware of the bathroom situation until early the following morning, when it was too late! Of course we would never book out a room that has a problem. On the particular morning of your breakfast, our staff experienced transportation issues and the on duty manager had difficulty... More

We stayed 9 nights here and it was fantastic. The staff are so friendly and kind. The rooms are spacious, immaculate and tastefully decorated. There are thoughtful little extras like blackout blinds to ensure a good nights sleep and free water to drink. The breakfast is amazing and there's always coffee and cake on offer throughout the day at no... More

My wife and I (in our 40's) stayed at Summerwood in early April after having spent a few days at Parker a Cottage in Cape Town. The two properties are very different in so many ways, but as is the way with Guest Houses, it is those differences that make every stay unique compared to international 5 star hotels. Whilst...
