What a surprise! Lyngrove had a spring renovation:-) New TV, new taps, new painting... But the style remain (hopefully!) the same... The swiming pool has cristal clear water, even if it is a bit cold! Breakfast are very good, with nice warm pan cakes with black berries and cream :-)... And as usual a fantastic cappuccino better than in Roma!

Set off the beaten track, which suits me perfectly, Lyngrove was a good choice for my solo business trip. I prefer a little solitude and some peace and quiet, which is what I had, along with a great view over the vineyards to the mountains beyond. The room was well appointed, if a little hot (the air-conditioner didn't work too... More

It is absolutely gorgeous place to spend end of the 2014. Big, colonial house with stylish interiors. Staff was very helpful - they managed for us driver for wine trip, which was not easy because of New Year Eve and Top Season and elegant dinner for celebration. 1/01 we could relax after party next to swimming pool and do typical... Full disclosure this review is for the wine only, we did not stay with them. The inn looked lovely and is a place we will consider in the future, but this time we went for the wine. We found their pinotage to be wonderful, so wonderful we brought 2 bottles home with us in the limited space we have to... More

We recently spent two nights at Lyngrove Guesthouse and do not believe that the 5 star rating is justified. The grounds are beautiful but the rooms and house require a bit of maintenance, and a lack of hands-on management was evident in the quality of food served and general service levels. A disappointing stay in the Winelands.

Lyngrove was the venue for a small one day mini-conference of about 10 people. Delegates flew in on Thursday evening and were greeted by friendly staff and a glass of sparking wine. The food was well prepared and enjoyable. As we ate as a group, the menu to buffet style rather than a la carte. We enjoyed tasting a range... More

Lyngrove Manor was obviously a very beautiful and gracious private home at one time, set on a small farm in a peaceful and very convenient location, close to wine estates and restaurants, between Somerset West and Stellenbosch. The grounds remain immaculately kept, and we had a very pleasant stay. Privately owned it has 5 star guest house status, our thoughts... More

Just Charming! Comfortable rooms, great service and outstanding breakfast. We were so busy trying to take everything in, we didn't get to spend a whole lot of time taking in the grounds or enjoying the peaceful surrounding but what I did experience was first rate.

This guesthouse is very elegant and homey at the same time. Ia, the manager, made us a great middle-of-the-week, 3-night winter deal that came with a delicious breakfast--your choice of hot dishes (like eggs, french toast, flapjacks, or oatmeal, etc.) in addition to a continental spread--very generous. The rooms were spotless and comfortable with little added touches like chocolates on... More
