Historic Lanzerac is in a stunning setting in Stellenbosch, and the Cape Malay architecture is lovely. The wine isn't bad either. But that's about all I can say good about Lanzerac. I stayed at Lanzerac in October and was very very disapointed with the hotel. Rooms were just ok, bath was leaking all over the bathroom, no internet connection, frosty service... Very bad food and poor room service. It's a pity because it's a beautiful area, just bad management if you ask me. more

The highlight of this hotel for me was the spa! We arrived on a rainy weekend and so spent a lot of the time there. The heated pool & jacuzzi area was nicely done with private rattan dividers.
