Good hotel, light and cozy rooms, wide variety of food for breakfast (hot and cold dishes, meat, cheese, fruits, tasty bakery), but cappuccino is not included and you will have to pay for it. There is a good food supermarket not far from the hotel (20 meters, just across the road). You will need an adaptor for AC outlet in... More

I attended the Cape Winelands Tourism Workshop at the Stellenbosch Lodge and I was absolutely impressed by the staff, the facilities and refreshments. The lodge definitely contributes to the great reputation of Stellenbosch. Highly recommended.

What a pity that in a beautiful area like Stellenbosch there is such an awful hotel. The star rating says 4 star, but it has been a long while that this lodge could confidently call itself 4 star. The maintenance is appalling with mold in the bathrooms, loose pieces of wood lying around. The walls are dirty and the ceiling... More

The hotel is on a busy intersection in Stellenbosch. The service was polite, but not exceptional, and certainly not up to the tag line of "Experience Individuality". Everything seemed tired and weary. The rooms are small with no sound proofing from the passage way, and the bathrooms are tiny. The food was tasty, but self-service from a bain-marie seemed a... Hotel room was not aired. The toilet fan did not work. There is poor parking. When I walked into the room it smelled of disinfectant and there was a lingering musty smell to the room. I do not know how this is rated four stars and the amount of money you pay for this you do not get your money's... More

Attended a conference here with 120+ delegates - we didn't stay at the lodge although others did. The conference room was well set up, great air conditioning on a very hot day and really nice setting to spend the day. Staff generally pretty helpful and the food (which I believe was from an outside caterer) was really good.

We stayed in a large group for a conference last weekend. I arrived with a broken foot and had to drab my bag up 2 and a bit flights of stairs without a single offer of help. We had a vegetarian delegate, who indicated her dietary requirements a month before we arrived. The usual meals were served and she was... More

I stayed at the Stellenbosch Lodge during August 2013. I have to agree with the majority of the reviews about this hotel - the staff is friendly, but the hotel feels a bit dated. The room and bathroom was clean, but it wasn't very spacious. My room had a shower in the bath, and I would definitely prefer a separate... More

Its not the best but it does the job! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, they are attentive to your needs and do as best to assist you. The room i stayed in was outdated if I may say, old TV set, Couch, the boards.. Just feels a bit weird! Could do with an upgrade but ok overall. The... More
