I enjoyed my stay at the Stellenbosch very much as I was in attendance with a group of runners. I opted for a Signature Riverside Terrace Room, which was advertised as a room that has an overlook of the Eerste River, so I assumed that I would actually see the river. Okay, I'll admit to being literalist, but I couldn't... More

This was one of the most beautiful hotels we've stayed in. Each unit is a very large cottage with a gas-jet fireplace, which the staff was very happy to start for us and get us settled in. The room was very spacious with a sitting area, large updated bathroom with shower and bathtub, double doors at the back that opened... More

My wife and I have been returning to this great relaxing getaway each year in our anniversary. Rooms and grounds great, food terrific and service number 1! The riverside rooms are the nicest and quietest but the whole hotel is an experience worth going there for. A real getaway location.

I stayed at this hotel on business but luckily I had brought my husband with me so we ended up having a romantic getaway. Country charm, great food, fantastic wine selection. They have a pregnancy massage which they don't advertise on their webpage so take note mamas to be. Highly recommended!

Got to our room which had no capsules for the coffee machine. After two calls to reception capsules were delivered. Then found out that said coffee machine was broken so called reception again. When my wife needed to blowdry her hair we looked in the guest guide which said that a hair dryer was in the closet. Searched in the... More

Our room was excellent! We had a gas fire place, a big bath tub, gorgeous bed and of course complimentary Spier wine. What more does a couple want? We spent two days there and it was wonderful! Reception organised all our activities and we just had to show up. I highly recommend the Spier gourmet picnic and Segway around the... More

We stayed at the Spier Hotel this past weekend and it was very relaxing. And that is saying a lot as we have 3 small children. It's still relatively low season though so the hotel wasn't full. We really appreciated this and I'm not sure we would have enjoyed it as much if it had been full of people. Spier... More

A very enjoyable stay at this excellent base, which we used for a business trip to Cape Town. We used the hotel facilities extensively, including getting taxis into Cape Town to do sightseeing. Excellent local food and drink, and got to enjoy some local customs.

I went there for a conference with a big group of people, The rooms are spacious and nice, the bed very comfortable ad the bathroom big and clean. The scenery is very nice , as the hotel is a kind of big farm, so you can take walks around, do activities etc. The spa was ok and the breakfast offers... More

This was our fourth stay at Spier and we have already booked again in February 2015. It's probably our favourite hotel and we just love coming back. Yes, there are more luxurious places to stay in the world, but there's something about the ambiance of the estate that draws us back each year. We like the relaxed pace everywhere and... More
