We had a delightful stay .Sadly only for one night. Loved the fresh flowers in the room and in the entrance hall! Loved having breakfast on the terrace in the lovely garden! Can really recommend a stay at this lovely guesthouse!

This is a peaceful, spacious, light-filled house in a lovingly tended garden, a few km outside Stellenbosch. Tasteful furnishings, good aircon (important in hot places like Stellenbosch in January!) delicious AND healthy options at breakfast and very friendly hosts. We were there for two nights and would have stayed longer, but needed to move on to Cape Town. As most... More

stayed here for two nights. Our attractive room was twin bedded with balcony. A large modern bathroom with shower. Sufficient storage, hairdryer, espresso machine. On the landing outside the room, tea/coffee making facilities and fridge. Breakfast perfect. Fresh fruit, cereals, cold meats, cheese, variety of breads. Also a choice of a delicious cooked breakfast. All served on an outside patio... More

Absolutely love everything about this place; the breakfast, the gardens, the boutique style rooms, the warm welcome. The homemade breads and granola were especially delicious! Penelope will really look after you. Penelope can arrange an airport pick up if you don't have your own transport and also recommends a local wine tour, which was great. The guesthouse is approx. 3... More

We had a wonderful stay just after Christmas and were so upset to only have one night. The room had a balcony and beautiful view of the mountains. Breakfast was delicious (eggs, bacon, breads, cheeses, etc.) They were also able to recommend a great estate for us to visit that was beautiful. Our wine tour picked is up from the... More

A perfect base for exploring Stellenbosch and the winelands. The rooms are modern and very comfortable each with coffee and tea making facilities. There is also an honesty fridge which is really useful. The location is quiet and tranquil and there is a pool for a cool down when the weather is really warm. Penelope provides a full breakfast including... More

After 5 weeks traveling through SA, Penny's B&B was a restful haven. Nice and large room, great pool, garden and flowers aplenty (she has the green touch) and succulent breakfast (she bakes and cooks everyday). Location is excellent to visit the Stellenbosch area (including Capetown). But what won me was the Nespresso machine in our room (a major plus for... More

We booked into Penelope's for our first two nights in SA. Weren't sure what to expect as we had intended staying in a hotel. we needn't have worried! Facilities, breakfast and welcome were all excellent. Safe parking and our hostess's assistance with taxis and with a fabulous recommendation to use Antoinette of Camino Tours for our wine tasting tour were... More

The service was excellent as were the rooms and facilities. Location was great and Penelope and Dries went out of their way to assist us and make us feel welcome. We would definitely recommend this guesthouse to friends and family.

Easy to find from the airport and major roads. Just out of the centre of Stellenbosch, therefore no peak traffic, but easy access to major roads and businesses. Nice, clean & comfortable. Substantial breakfast included.
