With my son at university at Stellenbosch, and staying in digs, we have come down on occasion to assist or just visit him, So really we need somewhere to stay that's close to my son, and Rustenbosch fits that criteria perfectly. The breakfasts there are great and its a short drive to restaurants, shops and all varsity facilities. The vibe... More

We stayed at Rustenbosch in July and again in December 2014. During July the building activities next door were still in full swing, but what a pleasant surprise now that the block of flats next to the guesthouse is finished. Apart from being a beautiful building, it provides much needed accommodation for the ever growing student population. The breakfast menu... More

We are a retired French couple from Canada (Montreal) and traveled South Africa during 2 months renting 31 different lodgings. This one was # 15. We booked an apartment (no 3) which is not located at the same place as the guesthouse. This apartment is one large room with the bed, a kitchen counter, a living room with sofa and... More

We stayed at the self-service apartment, not the guesthouse because we wanted the kitchen. To check-in, you'll have to go to the guesthouse and they'll bring you to the apartment, which is just a bit down the road, around the corner. There's 1 parking spot for each apartment (but it is out in the open, so we were warned of... More

We got a self service apartment, which by the way, we didn´t see that anywhere and when we arrived, we found out we had no breakfast and no internet. The apartments are separated to the guesthouse, so when you get there, they go with you to show where they are, you are given a key and that is the last... More

This place is nice and we were mostly happy to stay here but guests should beware there is a massive construction site right next door which we were not warned about (for obvious reason, we would have gone elsewhere). All bedrooms are affected as well as the garden and pool area, you will enjoy drilling and hammering with your otherwise... More

Our two-night stay at Rustenbosch was the perfect way to end our very short trip to South Africa. The room was spacious and very clean. Service was great! Would recommend if you're looking for a nice place to unwind.

I loved the trendy New York feel of the Rustenbosch apartments - in the sweltering heat and busyness of the thriving winelands mini metropolis of Stellenbosch, it offering a sanctuary of calm and cool. Sadly, we had no time to try out the cool blue pool - rushing as we were to attend a wedding but it looked utterly inviting.... More

Stay here was arranged by colleagues for the night prior to a conference. Arrived fairly late, left early in the morning before breakfast, so didn't get to try that, sorry I missed it. The room was wonderful, on ground floor, and the grounds are very nice. I hope to go back again and stay longer!

Love that they provide ground filter coffee and a bodum / coffee plunger in the bedrooms. Overpriced for ordinary accommodation in comparison to what I'm used to in SA, but everything was clean and tidy, and the staff friendly. Very nice breakfast!
