I don’t know where to start really as I am still shocked at how incredibly nasty Arno, the owner has been. I had a really bad experience at his bnb which I spoke to him about. I’d found dead cockroaches just outside my door which were there for the entire 3 day stay and on one morning at 9am, one... More

I personally gave the client a 50% discount which was graciuosly accepted in person. The actual reservation was made through an affiliated website namely Booking.Com. The rates etc. were agreed to and the resravtion was confirmed via Booking.com as per normal. All complaints were handled and dealt with proffesionally via Booking.com. Booking.com has agreed that the discount given was more... More

Friendly staff. Central location. Old world student style accommodation. We stayed for two nights and the owner, Werner, very kindly changed our rooms on request. Very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a satisfactory breakfast. Lots of great restaurants nearby. We felt save and secure.

Nice, old guest house in the middle of Stellenbosch. This place could do with some renovation and refurbishment, it all looks and feels a bit dated. On the other hand the owner and staff are very friendly and helpfull (we love Florence, thank you for your help Florence!!), we enjoyed having breakfast in the downstairs coffee shop and the place... A nice, comfortable, budget place to stay. I found it to get away from one of the poorly maintained backpackers in town that I stayed at for a night. This place here was well worth the extra few dollars to have a clean bed, hot shower to myself that worked properly, yummy breakfast and delicious coffee.

Perfectly situated in the centre of Stellenbosch even with own car-parking. Cute old house with comfortable rooms, AC, balconies, wi-fi. Very nice á-la-carte break-fast at the café next door, which also belongs to the owner of the B&B. He was very friendly and made us feel very welcomed.

This old place above the quaint streets of Stellenbosch has just a few rooms that are very quiet. Mine, I think, was part of the original kitchen! Carpeted, clean, soft sheets, en suite bath, hair dryer, in-room safe, coffee and tea, and very atmospheric. Breakfast included. There's a pretty balcony. Space heater in winter, a/c in summer. It's a converted... More

There isn't a more central location and great price than the De Oude Meul. It is just blocks away from all the town attractions, making walking around and popping back to your room very easy. The Mill Coffee Shop below have a great breakfast and lunch menu. The staff is very friendly.

We were a little disappointed as we arrived in the middle of a downpour and the building didn't look as nice as the photo on-line. However, we were soon to find that the building was in the process of being repainted and the young girl that helped us get situated was very friendly. The next morning we had a wonderful... More
