Recently stayed at the Villa during a business trip. The rooms are individually decorated and themed. I stayed in family room Namibia on the second floor. The room is incredibly spacious with a full on suite bathroom and a small kitchen with basic self catering facilities and an honesty bar. The attention to detail is incredible. From a warm water... This is a delightful guesthouse, full of old-world charm and character, and extremely conveniently positioned in a quiet street just five minutes on foot from the centre of Stellenbosch and its shops and restaurants etc. The rooms are well-appointed, comfortable and clean, with good wifi. The garden in particular is a wonderful haven, and the roof terrace provides terrific views... More

We stayed in the Elizabeth Room which was very spacious and comfortable. We arrived late as the plane was late and this was no trouble. Breakfast was good as were all our stays in SA. The pool and surrounds are quiet and peaceful. 5 minute walk from restaurants and shops. Nice place to stay.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite for a few nights and it was amazing though the round bed did take some getting use to! Bernice and the team were lovely. Great location with a nice breakfast spread. Will be back for sure

This was our second stay at Caledon Villa. It's very well placed in the nicest area of Stellenbosch, ideal for exploring the town on foot. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and the breakfasts are excellent. The garden, with its large pool, is a beautiful place in which to relax.

We spent 5 nights at Caledon Villa, having chosen a self-catering room with outside sitting space. It's very clear from the website that the villa is traditionally furnished so it's hard to understand how some visitors seem surprised. The antiques were of high quality with many pieces of interest, our room reasonably comfortable with spacious bathroom. The bulky tv's were... More

The decor of Caledon Villa will take you back a few centuries in time. From the round bed in a recess in a corner of the room (separated from the room by an artsy fret-work) to the fireplace... It's really well done. The breakfast is excellent as well. If you get some time, have a look at their room of... More

We stayed just one night but really enjoyed our time there. Highlights were the gardens and pool areas. The breakfast was v good too. The room was a little dated, but comfortable. We loved the fresh flower posy in the room. Agree with previous reviewers that charging for wifi did not feel necessary. Would stay again.

What a lovely guest house run by a 7th generation family. Rooms furnished in the old cape Dutch / Victorian era. Although we only had breakfast it was superb. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely pool. Very close to town center. Five stars to Johan & Ode Krige and Bernice Mc Carthy. True valu for money.
