My wife and I stayed for two nights with our baby and had a lovely experience though it was short. Very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff! Special mention to the Omni present Bernice attending to all queries. Good chat in the mornings with the owner Johan that seems to share interest, experiences and knowledge with everyone he talks to.

I enjoyed my stay at Caledon Villa, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The staff really went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, and the whole place has a memorable, welcoming charm. It's also very convenient to the downtown and the University (just a few minutes walk to either place). There are just a few minor... More

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The owner gave us suggestions for some great vineyards to visit. Covered/secured parking was provided. Room was comfortable and breakfast was really good. The whole place had interesting decor and was really nice and relaxing.

Old style building - a national monument even - within easy walking distance to the centre. Rooms are a bit outdated and could do with some renovating. Yet, very nice breakfast and excellent service - our bed creaked a lot, but we had a new one after we got back from a day of wine tasting. Book a wine tour... More

My wife and I stayed here during our holiday in South Africa and it was fantastic. From the magnificent gardens and pool, the position close to town, and the fantastic bedrooms, to the lovely welcome and superb breakfast, Caledon Villas was perfect for our visit. We all had a great time and were made to feel really at home. I... More

Old character style building, and luxury suite was also feeling old and dated. There was a lot of wasted space with an oversize kitchen and sitting area that was not comfortable. The furniture in this room was thrown together patio furniture. The bedroom was adequate with quite comfortable twin beds, however the bathroom, particularly the shower, needs updating. The skirting... More

Wifi access is paid and slow. It could perfectly be free (the place across the street I was in a year ago offers free wi fi). Rooms are good, breakfast is excellent, staff are great. The owner likes chatting during breakfast, so if you have questions ready, he may be helpful.

I have never stayed in a guesthouse before that even has the original handbooks for the electrical appliances and recipes for the microwave oven! Needless to say, I could not think of anything that the rooms did not have. With kettle, free coffee, tea and hot chocolate, a safe, hairdryer, tissues, hot water bottle, a small gratis bottle of sweet... More

Hi ,My wife and I along with my brother and his wife stayed over at Caledon Villa during mid July2014. While the weather was cold, windy and very overcast we found the staff at Caledon to be exactly the opposite. We arrived slightly earlier than was expected but Bernice welcomed us like old friends and made us feel very welcome.... More

This establishment consists of two substantial houses linked by a partially-enclosed corridor. Each of the spacious rooms is themed in some way or other, and has a name (rather than a number) to reflect this. They are all well-furnished and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent, and all the staff are friendly and welcoming as well as efficient. Wifi internet is reliable,... More
