Rozendal was just one of the places we stayed in on an extended visit to South Africa. We experienced a range of hotels, guest houses and self-catering facilities. Rozendal was by far the most expensive (yes, I know it is Stellenbosch) but lacked what was offered as "standard" by the other facilities. Although in general it was great (friendly staff,... More

Thank you for your review- we appreciate all feedback. It does seem like a self-catering option would have been better suited to your needs- please consider Plumbago Cottage next time. We have cork screws and hair dryers available at the reception, a washing and ironing service is also available. We haven't had any complaints about the saltiness of the breakfast,... More

I had a lovely stay at Rozendal. Everyone was friendly and chatty. The place is beautiful and peaceful, I would definitely go back. More plug points or an extension cable with plug points would be useful.

We loved this place, the cottage was beautiful and the pool great for the kids, but best of all were all the animals around, the pig, the dogs and the horses. Our kids took a riding calss with a great teacher, Angie!

Great spacious, clean rooms with mountain views. Wonderful breakfast. Excellent service. Lovely pool. Secure parking. Just on the edge of Stellenbosch - easy access for Stellenbosch (3km) and Joenkershoek Nature Reserve and Wineries. Horse riding onsite. Onsite vinegar tasting a must!

We enjoyed very much our stay at Rozendal. It was a quite place with very personal service. One reason for this was maybe the fact that the property had not so many guests at the moment. We found the vinegar tasting very interesting - "wine tasting you can do everywhere, vinegar tasting is so much more interesting". We found the... More

We stayed in two rooms, suitable for a family. Rooms are well equipped, but no television sets in rooms. Comfortable beds with good bed linen, tea and coffee making facilities in rooms as well as mini bar fridge. Overall nice décor. Views from balconies are beautiful! It is completely child and pet friendly! We took our dog with and she... More

Our wine club (10 of us) stayed at Rozendal - we didn't know anything about the property before we booked. We were looking for somewhere that could accommodate all of us, and that wasn't outrageously expensive or too fancy or trendy. Rozendal was a really great surprise. It's a beautiful property in a beautiful part of the world. The accommodation... More

Had a beautiful stay at Rozendal; a vast healthy & homely dinner (veggies from the garden too) from the Guest House made by a lovely German couple who run the kitchen. This was followed by a luxurious sleep in the cute cottage 'village' & woke up to guineafowl giggling on the lawn. Stunning. The grounds of the vinegar farm are... More

What a beautifully family run guesthouse and friendly staff. We had the most amazing meal there where the chefs were incredibly friendly and accommodating - such a lovely touch to the stay. The rooms where absolutely beautiful with the most beautiful smells when you walked in. The views from the rooms were stunning - overlooking the vineyards and mountains. Such... More

The accommmodation is very comforatble and in a delightful setting with views of the mountains in the nearby nature reserve and over Stellenbosch below. The esate itself is charming and thought they no longer make wine but vinegar, still breathes the air of the area. Nathalie and Marina couldn't have been kinder or more concerned ( I was no well...
