We stayed at the palmiet for 3 nights. We celebrated there our dream wedding. Everything was organized by the hotel manager a few months before our departure via E-Mail contact. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Each individual made our wedding day unforgettable. The grounds were beautiful and our accommodation a dream. The complex is huge and therefore offered many... To anyone and everyone planning a joyous, effortless wedding..... THIS IS IT!!!! We live in Gauteng and it literally took 1 email to get the ball rolling. We had not seen the venue before, no-one had recommended it, but the images were very impressive. Even before seeing the venue, we sent the deposit. +- 2 months later we flew down to... More

I read all the great reviews and booked a night for our 25th wedding anniversary. I am not a complaining type of person and didn't want to spoil our special day by doing so, but we were quite disappointed. The setting is stunning and the room looked lovely, there was a double shower but we could only use one at... More

A beautiful location, easy to get to and a wonderful place. It is tastefully decorated and excellent value for what you get. Fresh roses on our pillows every time the room was cleaned which smelt incredible. The rooms are stunning and decorated with beautiful antique furniture. The food is scrumptious (both breakfast and supper), the gardens and pool are beautiful... More

We stayed only one night, but we would have liked to stay longer. As soon as you enter the gate it is as if you have time travelled back in time. No hectic there everything beautiful and quiet. Rooms excellent filled with antiques, breakfast divine, always fresh cut flowers everywhere. We didn't want to leave the next day. Thank you... More

Together with family and friends we had our wedding at Palmiet Valley Estate, 18000 km away from home. What a stay and what a place to have a wedding! The surroundinds, the people and the service were all excellent. In addition the Estate was helping us organizing all other services necessary for a wedding. We say no more!

When we drove through the gates of Palmiet Valley, we felt like we had travelled back a few centuries. The Beautiful Dutch Colonial buildings and the well groomed grounds give a great setting to just sit back and relax. We were welcomed by Marguerite, the owner, and her Rhodesian Ridgeback. As we were the only guests staying at the Hotel... More

I have just left Palmiet Estate. it´s more place to return to, than leave! We were met with warm hospitality. Palmiet has a history back to 1754. All the buildings holds a high standard. In a classic, but still modern standard. Huge parks. Warm and including owner family and staff. I´ve never experienced anything like it. I highly recommend Palmiet... More

A beautiful place in a beautiful spot and you will never ever want to leave. Surround yourself with mountains in the background and vineyards on the estate. Have a glass of wine and sit on the deck as the sun goes down. Have dinner there and dont bother going anywhere....they will take care of you! Drink their wine or bring... More

The Palmiet Valley Wine Estate & Boutique Hotel was an unexpected gem. We were greeted by name as we drove in and immediately asked if we would join a lawn party that was in progress with live music and wine & cheese tastings. The friendly and informed staff showed us our room and the estate facilities which were all beautiful.... More
