I stayed here with my teenage son, it was part of a 2 week tour of the Southern cape. We had travelled from The Addo Elephant Park and it was quite a drive to say the least. I havent ever driven that sort of distance without seeing anyone. Great welcome with a cheery smile and a bottle of wine. Our... More

The last time I visited Oudshoorn was 27 years ago. What a treat to stay at Berluda. We had a fantastic cottage with beautiful rooms and decor and chatted in front of the fire until late. The filter coffee went down a treat the next morning and I will recommend this to anyone!!! My son enjoyed feeding the ostriches some... More

We spent a couple of nights as part of a driving holiday. This is an excellent base from which to visit the Kango Caves and the Swartberg Pass. Our cottage was a bit tired but otherwise very spacious and comfortable. The wood fired Braai outside was very welcome and we were soon able to get a roaring fire going, both... More

We had a wonderful stay at Berluda. The guest cottage we stayed in was very spacious and it was great to have 2 large bedrooms and bathrooms as we were travelling with a 5 year old and 3 year old. The children loved having ostriches right on their door step and enjoyed playing in the open spaces around the farm.... More

We recently spent two nights here in the honeymoon suite which was very spacious and beautifully furnished. Cindy was very welcoming and helpful in making dinner reservations at two local restaurants and provided very useful information about what to do in the area. Being winter, we did not see any other guests so felt a little isolated and had breakfast... More

Our room was very nice, with somewhat old-fashioned furnishings, although very much in keeping with 'Dutch South African' style. One major problem was the 'blown' plaster on one wall, caused by what looked like damp from the drips from the A/C unit outside, lying on a path against the wall. Otherwise very good, with the A/C unit used to heat... More

We spent two nights at this beautiful resort, one of them after a horrific rainstorm that took out the entire town's lights. Our hostess took great pains to see that the generator was fired up for us so that we wouldn't be worried about the dark. I highly recommend this B&B for easy access to all that Oudtshoorn has to... We had a nice Cottage next to the pool. The cottage was well equipped, even with a whirlpool bathtub. Only the kitchen didn´t have enough pots or sharp knives. As we adressed our problem at the reception they gave us pots and pans out of there own kitchen and also a coffee plunger. We also booked a tour to the... More

A few kilometres north of Outschorne, we really enjoyed staying in this thoroughly relaxing B&B. our room was really spacious, and the small kitchen gave us the option to self-cater, which after a fortnight of eating out was appreciated. As was the complimentary small carafe of port waiting in our room! The staff were very friendly, and happy to help... More
