Seriously the most well managed and tranquil places in South Africa -great friendly staff, really helpful and decent people. Facilities are all excellent -bedrooms and bathrooms are extremely well thought out -we are not easy customers to please and this place far exceeded our expectations - oh and the cocktails are world class !

We stayed in the self catering chalet(log cabin) overlooking the lake. Bedrooms quite small but had mosquito nets which would probably be necessary in hot weather. Only real complaint was that the walls did not go up to the ceiling so lacked privacy in the bathroom. Excellent breakfast on return from seeing the meerkats. Stayed two nights. Second morning the... We were in one of the cabins which were kind of cute and different for us. Probably would have rather been in the main part of the building rather than away from it. The room was fine. The main restaurant and bar area were lovely and we enjoyed meeting other guests there. Dinner was good as was breakfast. Nice stopover... More

I had the pleasure of spending 3 days in one of the cabins with my family. We have 3 children under 6, and this proofed to be very suitable accommodation for us. Friendly staff with great advice on the area added to our experience, we will definitely be back. Major renovations at the guest house area is under way, and... More

I stayed here with my family for 2 nights in April and had the most enjoyable time. We stayed in 2 interconnecting rooms which was just perfect for travelling with older children. The rooms were really comfortable with lovely little balconies and great bathrooms. The grounds were lovely, especially the pool and the bar area. We ate both nights in... More

We stayed in De Zeekoe again this year - in a room almost identical to the one two years ago. Alas we only had time to stay one night. Our room had a balcony looking South across the Olifant river (behind plants cannot be seen) to the distant mountains. We also had a wonderful clear view of the stars including... More

We had a wonderful time at this family run 4 star working farm. De Zeekoe staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, offering little extras at every chance. We got up very early one morning to watch the very cute, but wild, meerkats start their day. Thank you Paula for your wonderful hospitality.

This was one of the pleasant surprises of our garden route tour. Its a good place to stay to explore the ostrich capital. The poolside restaurant and bar is very nice. Highly recommended for a short sweet two nights stay!!!

We stayed in a cabin in May as the farm was closed in this month. It didn't matter though as we still had access to the whole area & in the morning, breakfast was delivered & cooked at our cabin which was brilliant, especially after doing the fantastic Meerkat tour in the morning. We stayed here due to their association... More
