We spent one night in a lake cabin and one in the main facility. The cabin was rustic but attractive; the beds were extremely firm, but we had good nights' sleep anyway in a very serene setting. Being the end of summer, the lake level was very low, so it wasn't as nice as when the lake comes up under... More

When we arrived here, we were straight away welcomed by the hostess (Ruwena?) who is just full of energy and enthousiasm. She was very pleasant and helpfull and made us feel at home right away. After the check-in she showed us to our room, overlooking the farm and fields. The room is very spacious, but a bit outdated. This was... More

I visited De Zeekoe during April, what a beautiful setting including lake cabins and lovely hiking trails. A peaceful breakaway, with well furnished, clean rooms. The staff, both helpful and friendly, attending to your every need. Truly ELEGANT South Arican hospitality.

I have not anything bad to say about the accomodation. I just felt it was expensive in relation to the room's presentation. The best aspect was the bathroom ; a separate WC off the bathroom ; free standing shower and bath. The bed was two units pushed together to make up a King BUT there was no converter spread over... We arrived late afternoon and had some sundowners in the garden before going to dinner. The garden is very nice and has a lovley view over... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was well appointed, clean and spacious with a wonderful day bed on the patio. Lovely walks on the property and very peaceful. Staff was most helpful. Meerkat tour was great. Would not hesitate to return.

We chose Oudtshoorn because we read such glowing reviews about the meerkat tour (and it was a great experience!) and De Zeekoe Farm because it's affiliated with the tour. What a lovely surprise when we arrived to a warm reception and a very comfortable room, beautiful grounds and a nice, pristine swimming pool! The claw foot, deep bathtub was a... More

We stayed for one night as we specifically wanted to do the meerkat viewing. We were welcomed by Adri who was extremely friendly and helpful. The location is stunning, surrounded by farmland and beautiful views to the mountains. The room we had, number 1, was well equipped, comfortable bed and nice shower. It had tea, coffee making facilities as well... More

We enjoyed two nights here and thought the staff particularly helpful. Dinner was not the best we have enjoyed in this region of SA and a meal out in town at Bello Cibo was better value. The room was well appointed especially the ostrich trimmed cushions. A pleasant stay in Oudtshoorn which has lots to see in the area.
