My husband and I spend two nights at the De Zeekoe on the return from our Garden Route honeymoon. The setting of de Zeekoe is beautiful. We enjoyed lounging by the pool area with a bottle of champagne and lighting the fireplace in our room at night. We had supper at the restaurant on the property on the first night... More

An excellent stop over in Oudtshoorn. I only wish we could have stayed longer..... We were welcomed with a welcome drink on the patio overlooking the reeds of the river... A very peaceful place to visit. The room was so comfortable, with a wonderful bathroom. We decided to eat there and joined the other guests in a BBQ. It was... More

We had a very good time in the Zeekoe Guest Farm, where we stayed with our 10-year old daughter in two of their African style chalets/lodges. The accomodation was excellent, the staff very friendly and helpful, everything was nice and clean. The Zeekoe has a 'gezellige' outdoor atmosphere, like sitting near the fire place outside before dinner. We went to... More

We drove to Oudtshoorn and the Farm in a rented car; the trip would have been shorter if we had known De Zeekoe was on the R328 to Mossel Bay. The riverside setting provided great views of the mountains and the local birds, and Paula helped with a bird list. Lovely room, helpful staff, and the early-morning trip to visit... More

A really good experience. Staff were super friendly. Had friends out from Canada with us who stayed at cabins which were a bit disappointing when compared to the pictures on the web site. Rooms at main hotel fantastic. Only problem was at bar. Sometimes no one on duty and probably to your determent no proper control of the billing there.... More

Dear Charron Thanks for the review :-) I'm glad that you had the time to stay enjoy our rooms at the main house as well. Rooms are in a different class than our cabins ( which is not graded and far from the main house - thus the price difference). always travel safe and again thank you for the visit,... More

My wife and I had a fantastic stay in one of the 4 cosy wooden cabins overlooking a peaceful dam on the farm. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were impressed by every meal we had at the restaurant. I can highly recommend DeZeekoe to anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable getaway in the Oudtshoorn area.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during a five week tour of South Africa. On the positive side the room we had was absolutely stunning and the views from the dining area of the guest farm beautiful. There was a wide selection of food to choose from at breakfast. However the food at the evening meal was... More

The lady that runs this guest house is delightful, and we were impressed by her commitment to supporting the community and education - for that reason alone, it is worthwhile supporting this venue. It is indeed a guest farm, a fully fledged working farm, on the outskirts of Outdshoorn. There is a lot of dust here and when we stayed... More

We were Blessed to spend 2 nights at De Zeekoe 2 weekends ago. We stayed in the Log cabins near the dam and some friends spent the first night at the lodge. Paula and her staff treated us like royalty and no effort was spared. Mountain bikes are available for rent and there is also canoes for rent. For those... More
