This was a last minute booking for me and chosen based on the reviews of other Trip Advisor members. This is a charming place to stay on a ostrich farm outside, but easily accessible from, Oudtshoorn. I only stayed one night en-route to Cape Town, but the relaxing surroundings would easily warrant a longer stay. My room was spacious and... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying recently at La Plume Guest House for two nights during our "Garden Route Tour". Although the exterior of La Plume looks inviting, it is the interior that we found to be the real treat for us. Both the room and the food were extraordinary, and a very good value for the... More

We stayed for two nights at La Plume and very impressed with our room which was enormous and very well equpped with beautiful antiques. From our small patio the views across the valley were stunning. It was regrettable that the lady who showed us to the room did not also have time to show us where the swimming pool or... More

The welcome when we arrived at La Plume was wonderful. What better way to begin our stay than with a glass of chilled wine sitting on the verandah watching the baby ostriches and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Our bedroom was very nice - with lots of personal touches. Bathroom was a good size too - with lovely toiletries and plenty... More

We have just returned from our secondatrip to wonderful South Africa. We stayed at La Plume, which is about 12 kilometers outside Oudtshoorn. What a beautiful Guest House. The location is stunning with view across the valley to the mountains. It is so peaceful. The rooms - ours was "Ruggies" are full of lovely antiques. However, there is nothing "antique"... More

I absolutely recommend La Plume in every way. I think the previous review has said it all really, I can only reiterate what has been written already. The location is fabulous (out of town) but so peaceful. We used to like sitting out on the porch after dinner drinking our coffee or something stronger! we saw the most amazing full... More

We arrived here after 2 days at Shamwari Game Reserve and a welcome drink on our arrival went down very well indeed. Our bedroom was beautiful, elegant, huge and every attention to detail thought of, as with our bathroom which my mouth gaped open when I saw it, it is truly lovely. We stayed here 2 nights and just wished... More

This is a very beautiful guest house in the Ostrich Country on the Garden Route. Our room had a stting room with an extra bed as well as a massive bedroom with an even bigger modern bathroom. The place is immaculate and beautifully decorated. The only negative is the food which is only mediocre. I think that this is place... More

The guest house is very quietly situated a short distance outside Outshoorn on a working ostrich farm. We enjoyed a large, very comfortable bedroom with an equally spacious, full-service bathroom. All linens and towels are of the snowiest white. Indeed, the whole establishment gleams. The decor throughout La Plume is of a high standard, if not a little camp for... More
