The photos on the website of this lodge do not do it any justice. The gardens are immaculate and well designed and the room itself was breathtaking. We had the room called "love" and it was certainly romantic. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated. We rushed back from our tour of the Cango caves so that we could enjoy... More

We stayed here in October 2011 during a 3 week holiday in South Africa. This was our 3rd stop on a tour of the Garden Route and had we known how beautiful, tranquil and friendly this place was we would have booked to stay longer. The Wagon House was superb, the surroundings were breathtaking and what topped it all off... More

One of the greatest accomodation we had during our vacation in RSA. Owners and staff were overwhelming friendly. They definitely did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was charming, nicely furnished in a farmhouse style with an open fire place, located amidst wonderful large flower garden in full bloom. The breakfast buffet –... More

We drove from Cape Town to stay here and it was so nice to relax and unwind after spending several hours on the road. It's a lovely and homely resort, with such character and friendly staff. Marius was a really friendly guy who was always happy to help out with anything we needed. The room was clean, the food was... More

I have had the opportunity to stay there at least twice and was treated like royalty. A well looked after property and attention to detail is well taken care off. The owners personal touch makes the biggest difference and are very hands on. Nice garden to walk about, excellent swimming pool and very good dining area. The farm house touch... More

This is a lovely property, with beautiful gardens, clearly well looked after, and the owners' personal touches are evident both outside and inside the rooms. We stayed in Room 15 which was very spacious, comfortable and had a private patio area with tea/coffee facilities and a fridge. We ate in the restaurant both nights and thought the food was excellent.... More

This accomodation was amazing! So much care and attention has gone into every part of it and the love of the staff and owners is on show in everything! So many little details that made the stay so special. Not only was our cottage beautiful and very well equipped, the grounds were like a little piece of Paradise! The staff... More

We stayed here on our second stop on the garden route. The rooms are all individual, large and quirky. Ours was delightful, with a king-size bed and a small double. We had a lounge with log-fire and tv. This is somewhere you don't want to waste time watching tv! A spa bath and huge walk-in shower were a welcome find.... More

I have stayed now a few times at this country farm-style accommodation. This is not a hotel with stereo-typed decoration room after room. Each room is unique and each room has been decorated with old world charm as well as mod cons like some with spa baths, fantastic big showers, fire places etc. The garden is an absolute delight and... I was unsure if I was going to enjoy my overnight stay here having read some reviews that indicated it was a bit religious in its orientation. I need not have worried. Yes, there were some signs of faith but absolutely nothing over the top or in your face. We found the staff lovely and helpful. The room we had... More
