Hands down the best breakfast around - chicken livers are a must and will keep you coming back for more! Rooms large and and spacious. Beds very comfy. Friendly and very helpful staff. Good value for money - Will definitely stay there again.

Ok so after reading various reviews about change of name and ownership, the lift not working and breakfast being dismal, we went ahead and booked for 10 nights for 5 adults during the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunste Fees!!!! What a pleasant surprise! We were booked into a smoking room but were quickly changed to non smoking with no problem at... More

We were really put off when we arrived to find a totally empty car park... Was it open??? We checked in and got our room key...hotel lobby like ghost town. Our room was old fashioned but ok. Bed was very comfy. Bathroom shower was pretty bad. Making our way back to our room that night there were several cockroaches climbing... More

The website of this establishment is an over-statement. See: http://www.oudtshoornhotel.com/ Previously known as The Pearls of Oudtshoorn, the hotel is centrally located and easy to get to. Unfortunately, the building is run down, the curtains are dirty, the stairway is untidy and the elevator does not work. Or at least it did not work for the entire weekend I was... More

3 star with 5 star Staff. They are so amazing, friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely, the linen and towels excellent, so amzingly white. Every room has 2 comfortable double beds, coffee and tea making facilities. Aircon. What more do you need. The hotel grounds and pool is immaculate. Child friendly. The breakfast massive and the kitchen is wonderfully... More

Passed through Oudtshoorn recently and this hotel no longer calls itself The Pearl, the outside of the building looks run down and no longer as elegant when under the previous name. I'd be careful if thinking of staying over. I'd also be interested if anybody has recently stayed over under the new name.

We stayed for 2 nights over December 2014. The room was beautifully refurbished and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was outdated. The lift outdated. Management seriously needs to consider replacing it; it's a bumpy ride. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a nice variety. We had a room on the second floor overlooking a roof (I assume it... More

I was on a holiday with family and stayed for 5 nights. The hotel is conveniently located in Oudtshoorn and the rooms are recently refurnished. So the rooms are really nice and very spacious. The quality of the bed is very good. The hotel has a nice swimming pool, and the staff is very helpful.

We made our reservation on line at the beginning of 2014 for December 2014. When we arrived we thought that we got our directions wrong. We stayed at this hotel previously when it was still a Holiday Inn. The name on the building was Oudtshoorn Inn. There was a pile of rubble in the parking area. There were tacky, twinkling... More
