This accommodation was included in a two day tour I booked through hotspots. We only spent one night here, but really enjoyed it. The rooms and bathrooms were basic, but everything was very clean. The food was not included in our package and so we paid for breakfast and dinner separately. It was very affordable and the quality was great.... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in August. It's more like an old house than a hostel. Good atmosphere around the fire in the evenings. There is free wifi available in the bar. Staff were very friendly and gave us great recommendations for a day trip and for local restaurants.

I stayed here for one night so that I could visit the Cango Caves. The hostel provided a shuttle (130R each way) from George, that met the BazBus. You can choose to eat diner at the hostel if there are enough people, 3 or more, I had a delicious ostrich sausage and kebab with salad and potato. There is free... More

We have stayed one night in the Oaradise Backpackers in Oudtshoorn, South Africa. We had the double en-suite room, so the price was higher - the place is nice well located, secure, however they do have some strange for backpackers regulations - required is a deposit for towels, breakfest (not a feast) is included but NOT served is coffee or... This place is one of the best hostels I've stayed in, hands down. Set in large grounds, secure parking, big lounge area with TV, vending machine, kitchen area and big wooden tables on which to eat. Our bunk beds were the size of 3/4 beds and very comfortable. The whole place was very clean. The staff kept the reception open... More

This is my third trip to South Africa, and backpackers paradise is one of the most aesthetically pleasing places I've stayed. The decor is warm and cozy, hanging out in the garden enjoying espresso was so relaxing. The braai experience is classic!

My sisters and I booked a dorm room at Backpackers Paradise and on arrival were given a lovely little private room which was nice! The girl on reception was really friendly and helpful and showed us around. They have a good kitchen area, lounge, bar and a few bathrooms and toilets. The receptionist also gave us a great recommendation for... More

Service: They have discounts on the activities in Oudtshoorn and shuttle service to those activities. The staff were very nice and took time to explain all the activities. Value: Cheap~ Environment: Spacious and many areas to hangout, there's a garden, pool and common areas. The kitchen is big and well-equipped. There is free coffee and tea in the shared kitchen... Once you've overcome the overpriced shuttle from George (150R one way for a 1 hour drive), it's a great place to stay. Very spacious, a lot of different areas to hang out, a very clean and well equipped kitchen, comfy beds (dorm room) and friendly service. Super delicious ostrich braai for dinner. The bike ride from the top of Swartberg... More

Nice hostel with garden, fireplace, bar, nice (cheap) breakfast and possibility to braai. The girl at the reception gave a lot of explanation about activities (they have discount!) and beautiful tours in the surroundings. We drove with our own car to Prince Albert, nice mountains! It is possible to do volunteer work at a project close to Oudsthoorn. Owner knows... More
