Monkey valley has the most exceptional views. The executive suites are so private with lovely baths over looking the sea. This place is completely unpretentious and you feel like you visiting the family holiday home. With the amount of repeat business they have, it's almost as if you are family. The restaurant serves very good quality food. And you can't... More

Tried the restaurant for the first time & we were totally blown away! The view from the wooden deck / tree house was amazing, so tranquil looking out over the tree tops & onto the beautiful white beach below. Alfred our waiter was awesome, great service & with a smile. Pizza's were delicious! Plus one pizza was free with our... More

I stayed at Monkey Valley Nature Resort for 1 night. Although the accommodation was rustically attractive it was sadly not clean at all. There were cobwebs on the thatch ceiling, the beds were dirty, I was not convinced that they had been changed in some time, they may not have been slept in but they didn't seem to be fresh.... More

The views are spectacular and even when the weather plays up you can snug up with a nice glass of wine in front of the fireplace in your room. The restaurant serves local food and it has that homely feeling with the wood and big windows.

Space banked on of our time share units, for a week at Monkey Valley. Very rustic and the chalets are well spread out. Tremendous views on the beach and sea from our chalet.Very close to Noordhoek where there are some delightful restaurants. Also close to Fish Hoek and not that far from Kirstenbosch Gardens and the various wine farms around... More

Monkey Valley has so much more potential. The setting is beautiful with stunning views and close to Noordhoek beach. The Hotel itself needs some TLC - It is clear that it has been around for a while. Self-catering type bungalows but has a restaurant on site. Bathroom had some grout in tiles and Curtains slightly dirty and some stains on... More

Such a beautiful location nestled in the Milkwood trees. Built on a shoestring and the string is starting to unravel. The food was average, service willing but amateurish. At midnight my room still smelt heavily of cold dead smoke. The room rattled in a not particularly strong wind making for anything other than peaceful sleep. The toilet paper was thin... More

We spent a week here as a family relaxing in a rustic hut. The walk to the beach was nice and the rocks and sand are very cool, although the ocean was cold. Lots of local activities, a restaurant on the resort, monkeys and birds that visit, and a playground for children. It feels remote, but is only a 30-45... More

Context: We're a South African couple. Usually on a fairly tight budget, and into outdoors and peace and quiet. We’re more likely to go for rustic rather than luxury. Every now and then we try to get away for a weekend on our own to rediscover who we are and where we’re going. Monkey Valley is a favourite destination for... More

We have stayed in the resort before-it was gorgeous. Visited the restaurant lately and longed back to our stay there. A beautiful single-trail walk down to the beach (a beautiful stretch of white sand). The accommodation is lovely and the environment clean and beautiful. The restaurant food is to die for. The seafood is a must to try!
