Had a very comfortable stay at Yellowwood Lodge. Room was large and comfortable with a good view, and location of the lodge was ideal for walking to nearby restaurants and other activities in Knysna. We were very well looked after throughout our stay; I would stay again.

Yellowwood is nice although a little dated. We did have to climb some steep stairs to access our room. Overall, no complaints as everything was clean and worked. It's conveniently located although Knysna is not very big to begin with. You can walk from the Lodge to downtown in a few minutes. Check-in and local knowledge from Ernest (owner) was... More

A quaint and charming place to stay. The accommodation is comfortable and has everything you need. The breakfast which is a selection of fruits, cereals, yogurts, cold meat and cheese as well as eggs, bacon, tomato, mushrooms, etc. is outstanding. Ernest's will take care of your every need. I will definitely be back.

Spent one night here and was very satisfied. While it is an older building, the finishes are good, it has a comfortable and homely feel and it is a convenient location. The owner was extremely helpful. We needed to leave early in the morning and he organized breakfast for us 1.5 hours before the usual time. The only unfortunate thing... More

Had a very enjoyable stay here - the hosts were very hospitable. Excellent breakfasts. The interior is a bit dated and there was a slight damp smell on entering the front door but it was very clean throughout and the room we had upstairs had a lovely balcony. We did find the saloon style door on the ensuite bathroom a... More

Quiet and relaxed though the interior is a tad outdated. Things look the same since 2007 (images ive seen frm prev reviews) - Room #2 looks exactly the same since then. The lodge feels like its run like a business and lacks a personal touch: we were told that there is fruit salad when enquiring about accomodating a vegetarian (no... More

A delightful old house tucked away and quiet, with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and good breakfast. Location is excellent if you like walking as it is quite close to amenities and is easy to get to the main streets etc. We have appreciated the safe off road parking too. Our only complaint is that they need... More

Breakfasts were delicious and the owner attentive. Front double upstairs had the best outlook and seemed very spacious. Downstairs double looked very nice too. We had the twin room upstairs which was cosy, comfortable and overlooked the rear garden area. The couple with us had a smallish double room which did not have a full door on the bathroom. I... We stayed for 4 nights and even if it rained most of the time Ernest and his staff made our stay memorable! It just takes 10 minutes to the Waterfront and just a few minutes to the shopping malls. We got a lovely breakfast every morning and good ideas how to spend our time. We can really recommend Yellowwood Lodge!

We stayed for three nights whilst in Kysna, and found Ernest to be the perfect host, sorting out a couple of problems for us and making sure our nightcap of local wine was nice and chilled! The rooms are nice and big, and clean, but in need of an update ( but it's not really a problem ). As the... More
