We stayed at Kanonkop for four nights as a base for exploring the garden route. We wholeheartedly endorse all the other reviews on here which highlight the wonderful, personal and friendly welcome from Chris, Mark and Samantha, the beautiful accommodation and the very high quality breakfast. It all made for a memorable stay. Thank you! Roger & Mandy PS -... More

My wife and I were directed to Kanonkop as the accommodation we used on our previous visit to Knysna had sadly dropped it's standards. Sad for them, but not for us as this was a very lucky break on our part. Our first impressions of Kanonkop were nothing short of jaw dropping. This home that has been changed to allow... More

We stayed 3 days in Pezula Villa with our 2 children, 9 and 4. How wonderful was it, hard to describe...Warmful welcoming with Sam and Mark, very good advices for visiting Knysnaa and all aroud, even if 3 days is really not enough... But the villa was so great that children only talk about it to all their friends !... More

We have recently stayed (again) for a week at the Kanonkop Guest House. Comparing it with other experiences during our vacation, we must stae that there is a huge difference in the personal attendance & service. It makes such a difference that someone of the family is always around and that the remark you always hear is " leave it... More

We stayed at Kanonkop House for two nights and wished we could stay for longer. Our hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, recommending restaurants and places to visit. The rooms were excellent and the surroundings are beautiful. The quality of the breakfast was superb, especially their home made muesli. Kanonkop was by far the best guest house that we... More

The most friendly hosts you can imagine. The service from Sam and team Conyers impressed us and made sure our stay was unforgettable. A place to return to! A place I would recommend to all our friends. Perfect stop and location by car from Cape Town towards Pretoria. Thanks to you all and the friendly personal greeting in the book... More

We stayed in one of the villas that Kanonkop own that had lots of space, great views, and a decent sound system to plug in your iPad. The villa was stocked with the basics upon arrival including wine in the fridge. But, it is the service that was provided by Samantha and her team that impressed us. Daily breakfast cooked... More

One of the best places we have stayed at on this holiday. Top class forest-themed room. No aircon though. Very friendly and personable family running the guest house. They could not do enough for us. Highly recommended.

Thanks to Samantha and Mark, we really had a wonderful time. We stayed in one of their private villas because we were traveling with our 4 year old son. Such a beautiful house with beautiful views, lots of space for our 4yr old to run around and the private pool. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely tell all our friends!!... More

We were met by Chris, the owner, who helped us with our luggage before providing valuable information over a glass of wine. Chris recommended and made reservations at two excellent restaurants and after a long drive from Cape Town my wife and I were thoroughly relaxed and made to feel at home. This is a family run hotel and the... More
