Bamboo is a fabulous guest house located in a fairy tropical garden on several tiers completely decorated with fantastic-to-discover objects. Just incredible. The owners are very kind and helpful, the food you eat is simple but delicious. In the room there was all what we needed and more, including the wood stove. A bit more attention to the tidiness will... More

Really enjoyed our stay at this quirky little place. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. It was like being in a mini jungle with all the plants and the general layout, which made it different to any of the other places we stayed during our trip, and the kids enjoyed exploring the area. We loved... More

The bathroom needs a make-over, especially the shower. Some of the towels had holes in it. But the service was very good and the food excellent. The beds should have electric blankets on them. Overall it was very nice.

The stay at Bamboo Guesthouse was awesome. Staff very friendly en helpfull. I loved Granny Bamboo - she is very special. We enjoyed the Chef's food and also his personality. Was disappointed not to receive a chalet with a fireplace as booked from the start.

The accommodation is built into the natural vegetation and cleverly linked with boardwalks. The result is a pretty unique and intriguing venue. The rooms or cottages are simply furnished but comfortable enough. The staff were great - friendly and welcoming. So were there any negatives? Well, as with many coastal resorts in the Western Cape, winters can sometimes be cold... More

A small piece of heaven tucked away in Knysna ! We stayed there for 4 nights ( in the Boma unit) during the July 2014 Knysna Oyster Festival. The units are individually decorated allowing one to stay in different units when visiting again. Wooden pathways begs to be explored. The garden feels like a mini forest - my wife loved... More

staff very friendly & helpful - excellent chef - the dining-room can be change to a more relax atmosphere by using plain table-cloths rather than the african print - a bit to busy - a sign to show the way to the receptionist - rooms can be improved to a more modern type - change coffee & sugar in the... Felt at home from the first minute, the setting is warm and accommodating. We'll go back to this guest house and recommend that visitors consider staying with the Bamboo Guest House when in Knysna. It allows privacy and brings the Knysna experience into the setting with the walkways and dense vegetation.

What a nice surprise to find such a beautiful place all tucked away in a lovely garden. It felt like staying in our own private Knysna forrest with interesting plants and decor all over. The room was great and the decor lovely. And the bed: big and new and warm!!! A real treat. We will most certainly stay there again... More

We stayed here with family and the staff were very friendly and the hosts were great. The garden is very beautiful. The very few negatives were - the shower was quite small, it was not really sound proof (I felt sorry for other guests as our kids were crying one night), not very baby friendly (as there were many items... Thank you for the warm and friendly review, we relish our guests feedback! Our weekly pool service is very efficient and assures us our pool water is very clean!
