We were made very welcomed on our arrival. Taken to our room which which was very spacious and comfortable. Recommended some local eateries around Knysna for dinner. Our breakfast the next morning was of good quality and abundance. Great stay.

We've had quite a bad conscience for about two years now for not having rated this absolute gem of a guest house. We stayed here in November -12 on our honeymoon road trip through S A and still haven't forgot about this place with wonderful generous hospitality and a relaxed atmosphere. We stayed in a bungalow with a private yard... More

An exotic feel, enhanced by a visiting flock of Hadada Ibis and the early morning calls of Lovebirds. Friendly staff. Comfort food in the relaxed, wood-fire heated restaurant. Close to the Heads - the high cliffs that guard the Knysna 'Lagoon'.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The bird life in the morning and the frogs at night, make it a tranquil place to just relax and take it all in. Glad you could experience it here in Knysna. Thank you again from the Bamboo Team More

Bamboo the Guesthouse was our home away from home for two nights in February! All staff was very attentive and super friendly. Even when we did not get the room we had initially booked and our originally booked room was taken, they found us another room, which was beautiful and even more spacious! Not only the room but also the... More

My husband and I (from Melbourne) along with my stepson, best friend and Jack Russell (from Cape Town) stayed here for 9 blissful days based only on what we had seen on Trip Advisor. Pulling up to the gates we breathed a sigh of relief as it really is exactly as advertised - with a few unexpected extras. Besides the... More

My wife and I had booked for 2 days but extended it to 3 days. We stayed in the 'Treetops' room - the clue is in the name. Very spacious and comfortable accomodation. Breakfasts were excellent. Regrettably we did not have an evening meal there as we visited restaurants in Knysna on each evening. A very pleasant stay and we... More

nice and cute venue. Our room was quite noisy however with the staff quarters situated right behind. You can constantly hear them arguing and chatting and sometimes swearing at each other, otherwise it was nice and the front of house staff were very friendly. Food was tasty as well. TV in room is not great and the DSTV channels hardly... More

This is very different to the run of the mill guest house. We stayed three nights in the Loft Suite, a huge suite with a free standing bath with screen, massive bedroom and shower room, a separate living room and kitchen area and outside decking. But it is the gardens that are the star here; all the rooms are secluded... More
