My Girl friend and I spent 2 nights at the Knysna Country House. Upon arrival we received a friendly reception, help with our luggage and a tour of the establishment followed by recommendations of things to do, places to see and restaurants to eat at during our stay as well as taxi services if required. All useful information for a... More

We stayed 3 nights at Knysna Country house and it was the most enjoyable experience, we wished we could have stayed longer. Right from booking stage, the kind of attention to the detail given by the team is fantastic. The way we were welcomed by Penny, the way break-fast was laid out, the rooms every thing was absolutely perfect. The... More

We booked into their 'self catering' cottage, paid a 50% deposit of R820 via Credit Card, and when we arrived we were directed to a dungeon of a room, built under the main house. We arrived at 14h30, to find that the cleaners were still busy in the room, and were advised by Penny the manageress that it was because... More

Dave Dave, Please get your facts right. How could you have emailed us on the 25th of April, while you were only arriving the 29th of April? And we refunded you the 5th of May and emailed you accordingly, but you apparently you do not read your emails on a daily basis, since we received your 'attorney threat' a day... More

We had two nights at the Knysna Country House and enjoyed them thoroughly. I wish we had stayed longer as Kynsna was a great place to stay and there is a lot to do in the area. The room we had was large and comfortable and the pool area was great for chilling. The views and garden were beautiful. Its... More

Stayed at Knysna Country House with my Mom & Sister whilst road tripping from Durban to Cape Town. We loved the accommodation, very spacious, clean, comfy beds, great bathrooms. Beautiful breakfast served and Eric & Ibye are fantastic hosts. Very knowledgeable about the area, friendly & helpful. This was a fantastic place to stay & I definitely plan on going... More

When we were shown to our room on arrival I could not believe how spacious it was. Lots of storage and also a well stocked minibar and good size bathroom with sunken bath and separate double shower. Standing on the balcony looking over the bay was just bliss...pure bliss. With 10 minutes I regretted not booking for a longer stay... More

I stayed here with my fiance for 1 night on the 13th March. The lady who checked us in was lovely and helpful and happy to help with dinner recommendations/reservations. We were given a complimentary upgrade to the luxury room which was a nice surprise. The room was huge and comfortable, with it's own access door, although a little dated.... More

We stayed for one night to break up the drive from PE to Cape Town. We received a warm welcome from Ypie the manager, and her lovely dogs. She showed us around and kindly made dinner reservations for us for that evening. We booked a luxury double which was rather bland and a bit dated but was clean and had... More

Dear Travelhappy, Thank you for your review, though it does not help us a lot. We do not know who you are and in what room you stayed. And a pity that your overall score is average, while you scored us very good on 5 out of 6 'subquestions'. February is the busiest month of our year and we indeed... More

We arrived late afternoon and were welcomed by the owners, Ypie and Erik. We were shown into the most fabulous thatched cottage set in the grounds within a very short walk up the steps to the breakfast area and right next to the lovely swimming pool. The cottage was simply superb as it consisted of a large bedroom with a... More

Started off with a friendly, helpful check-in relatively late (early evening). Parking inside a locked courtyard. Lovely communal area to sit and read, have a drink or just relax. Comfy room with WiFi, a great shower, French roast coffee, small fridge stocked with drinks but still enough room to put in a few things of our own. Perfect breakfast out... More

Dear Ranchette, Wow, that was quick, only left here yesterday. Thank you so much for this review. We are trying our best to 'accommodate' all our guests and it is heartwarming to see that it is appreciated. We hope to see you here again some day soon. Warm regards, Ypie and Erik More
