We spent 3 very enjoyable days at Protea. The setting is sublime, nestled amongst the trees with wonderful views across the lagoon. Breakfast was very pleasant, and delivered to our verendah whenever we wanted it. The bedrooms were very comfortable, with doors opening out on to the verandah. Wifi internet acccess was available, but only from the verandah. Knysna was... More

Protea Guest House is in an ideal location being away from the busyness of the town. Our lodge felt as though it was up in the tree tops and we had amazing views over the lagoon and the scent of jasmine filled the air. Breakfast was brought to us on the balcony and it couldn't have been a better way... More

Enjoyed our 2-day stay at Protea Guest House. Very quiet area enveloped by trees and bird-life. Beautiful views between the trees to Knysna Lagoon. Ideal for a short stay. Landlady (and staff) very helpful with tips on attractions locally.

The breakfast was good and owner and staff were very friendly. The B & B is an older style but perfect location in a lovely part... More

Me and my girlfriend went to the Suiker Bekkie cottage for the Knysna Oyster Festival weekend. It is a cosy little cottage and just enough for the two of us. Do not expect your 70" Samsung Flat screen or your double door fridge. This is very good value for money, well situated and close to the Knysna waterfront. Actually walking... More
