Hotel was lovely and cosy, very friendly and helpful staff and lots of entertainment indoors and outdoors! Huge DVD selection, warming towl racks, underfloor heating, bike hiring and quaint bar were just some of the highlights. Also lovely welcoming drinks!

A cold Knysna was forgotten with a warm welcome at Leisure Isle Lodge. We never visited Leisure Isle before and was just looking for a break. We were Wowed at an awesome place. The lodge and the setting is stunning, but even better than that are the friendly and helpful staff. David and Audrey are true assets. The food (and... More

This hotel has stunning views of the Knysna Heads across the lagoon! We stayed in a Family Room for two nights, which was comfortable and roomy. The staff were attentive and friendly, and went out of their way to make us and our children feel at home. The communal area is an incredibly welcoming and relaxing space - this has... More

It is May - winter for SA, and things are quiet here. Where is everyone? We are winding up a month long trip through Zambia, Botswana and South Africa. We've been baked, fried, and served. We've been spoilt with 3 course meals and hiked for 8 hours a day...a delightful blend of service and serve yourself. We can't thank Cher... More

Spending 4 nights at this beautiful, picturesque, tranquil establishment has been the best thing we needed after doing the five day Otter Trail. We were warmly welcomed and shown around by their competent, friendly staff. Walking into our Junior Suite was like walking into paradise, with soft, beige, whites, brown & blues tones that make you want to sink into... More

Our 2nd stay at the lodge was just as nice as the first time. Welcome drinks when you arrive, sherry and fruit in your room, all add to the extra touches which make this place a cut above the rest. Very friendly and helpful staff who assisted with restaurant reservations and local knowledge of the area. Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds with... More

We stayed at Leisure Isle Lodge as a stop over point on the Garden Route. What a lovely place it was. The room was well appointed with all the luxuries you needed for a very comfortable stay. Beautiful bathroom with bath and shower and to top it all a very comfortable bed with great linen. I would most certainly recommend... More

My husband and I felt Leisure Isle Lodge was a real find especially with their winter special (book 2 days and get 1 free). We were delighted with the room upgrade that they gave us ... they are an establishment that over delivers! The staff were fabulous!! It was an outstanding experience in every way. We were recommended this accomodation by friends in Port Elizabeth for a stopping point while travelling to Cape Town. We wish we had allocated more time rather than just the one night. The location is brilliant and the service first class. the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We dined in the restaurant and the food was also five star.... More
