When we arrived the owner began to talk to us in Afrikaans, very odd, we are Belgian but cannot really understand all. We only could have breakfast at 8.45, if we however booked a trip on a boat for 650 ZAR (she said 550 ZAR but other guests told us they paid 650 ZAR) we could have breakfast at 8.00.... more

The Marine Beachfront Guesthouse is situated just outside Hermanus and enjoys panoramic seaviews. We stayed in the Oyster room and our friends in the Coral room. Just back from 2 nights at the Marine guesthouse - an absolutely spectactular view that you could never tire of. Wonderful location, beautiful house with amazing attention to detail and attention from the hosts, and delightful breakfasts overlooking the sea. AND whales everywhere!!!
