We stayed over for a night, absolutely magnificent in every way. The room was lovely and totally luxurious and spacious. Our Spa treatments where fantastic in the most beautiful tranquil setting with excellent therapists. We then had dinner at the Green House. Every dish delivered was art on a plate. Unbelievably good. The gardens and setting of the Cellars cannot... More

Wow! I stayed here in June on a work trip and was amazed by the standards. The staff are excellent, the rooms are gorgeous and the food is exceptional. This is a great base to begin a visit to Cape Town. Constantia is a less-known part of the winelands and offers some amazing places locally to do wine tasting in... More

While the weather was not the best, the Cellars certainly was. It was our 35th Anniversary, and they had a lovely flower petal arrangement set out on the bed, and a bottle of champagne awaiting us. Our meal was excellent, as was service. We heartily recommend Cellars. Be sure to visit Kirstenbosch Garden when you are there. It is a... More

Prior to boarding the Ocean Princess cruise ship for a trip up the west coast of Africa, we decided to explore Cape Town to see why people are saying it is one of the world’s most livable cities. We booked a two night stay at the Liz McGrath owned and managed 48 room Cellars-Hohenort hotel on the slopes of Table... More

The whole estate is so well kept and up-market, it was a pleasure to be there. Parking in the grounds was good and we were led to the table in the Conservatory, all glass surrounded by lush plants outside and a huge old tree between the two parts of the restaurant - the restaurant is split in two so as... I stayed here for 2 nights with a group and the stay was fantastic. The grounds are beautiful with vineyards and excellent gardens everywhere. There are mountains all around you so it is insane to think this is a 20 minute drive from the waterfront. This place is ideal for those in Cape Town who want to get away to... More

In the leafy suburb of Constantia nestles two adjacent hotels which provide luxury dining and quiet accommodation reminiscent of yesteryear. These establishments are part of Liz McGrath's chain of hotels, all registered with the Chaine de Rotisseurs, The Hohenort is a historical gem with magnificent gardens terraced down from the rear balcony.. In the Cellars is a elegant lounge with... More

I absolutely loved staying at The Cellars-Hohenhort over the weekend. The staff are attentive and personable while the food is out of this world. I loved dinner at The Greenhouse and would recommend the full tasting menu with wine pairing as a treat on a special occasion.

We went for tea and delicious scones with fresh cream at the resturant! We sat outside overlooking the most beautiful garden with camphor trees. The service is excellent with very friendly staff. Afterwards we explored the fairy tale garden. Worth a look!

What a gem! - I have just returned for a 3 day stay with my Mum at this magical hotel, an incredible setting and wonderful staff.
