We were on holiday from the UK and stayed 6 nights. We were upgraded to a suite which was beautiful, as was the rest of the hotel. The lounges were really comfortable and we were made especially welcome by the two cats! The service was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food in... More

This beautiful house has a rich heritage but fails to capitalize on its potential charms. The rooms are bland and modern with a heavy hand on the mirrored walls and bleached wood. We were kindly upgraded to a suite, which we appreciated but felt that for the cost it should have been far more impressive. The bed was comfortable and... More

Thank you so much for your valuable feedback. I am so pleased that you enjoyed our gardens and that you managed to catch up with Niall- our Garden Manager. Chef has revised your comments on the offerings in the restaurant and we have made a few amendments. All our rooms are individually decorated consisting of classic and modern decor. Kindly... More

A wonderful raining afternoon in the lounge in front of the fire, with invited friends. Amazing fresh scones and cream with pots of fresh coffee ...followed by creamy sherry... This should be on your to do list when in Cape Town, the gardens are beautiful and the staff very attentive.

I live in Cape Town and a week ago we had the most glorious day, and we decided to go to the Cellars for Tea and scones. What a great experience it was. Sitting in the tranquil, beautiful well kept garden, really relaxing and watching the ducks in the pond below. Our tea and coffee were super, not to mention... More

I live in Cape Town, and this is the hotel at which I choose to have my 'staycation' :) My wife and our 30m toddler and 1m infant spent the weekend and then celebrated my birthday with friends that we had invited to join us for Sunday lunch. Non-stop stellar service from the minute we arrived.

Cellars is a beautiful retreat away from but within easy reach of Cape Town in Constantia. Our family of 5 stayed for 3 nights on arrival to revive ourselves before heading into the city for the rest of the stay. Although it was winter we had lovely weather and stunning views of Table Mountain. The dining was faultless, friendly but... More

Cellars is a beautiful property minutes from Cape Town downtown, in idyllic Constantia. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The property is immaculately maintained. Two little things I would change if I could - 1.) a 1mb internet connection is simply not acceptable in 2015, particularly as cell signals can we weak or non existent in the property 2.) it... More

Definitely would be exceptional in summer but log fires and excellent heating made it very comfortable in winter too. Some areas and rooms are more traditional, colonial style so if you prefer a more modern room then ask for that, they do have some. We had a stunning, modern suite. Gorgeous gardens with lots of history and very old protected... More

An amazing poroperty surrounded by the Constantia Vineyards. We stayed for a night and had one of the most delicious meal at the Green House restaurant. It is so serene and loved the outdoors in the property with beuatiful blue skies, ocean and vineyard views and table mountain as a backdrop. It surely does help one unwind. Highly recomendable, great... More
