Situated in the Southern Suburbs, Caxton Manor is ideal for being midway between the beach and City Bowl. The rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is superb and the warm, friendly service makes this a great place to stay at a very affordable price.

We spent 5 nights at Caxton Manor. Anet and Alan were very good hosts and gave us good advice. Our room was large and very clean with plenty cupboard space and an en suite bathroom (Shower). There was a large lounge and dining room for guest to use as well as a lovely neat garden and swimming pool. The cooked... More

We appreciate positive response and feedback. To clarify the breakfast we provide, we advertise that we give an English breakfast. We offer a choice of two cereals, fruit, yoghurt and juice as starters and two eggs (fried, scrambled, boiled or poached), two rashers of bacon, sausage and mushrooms or tomatoes as the cooked breakfast. We also provide toast and jams... More

We required accommodation close to the Private hospital and this was perfect. Room was clean and spacious and the hosts went out of their way to be helpful even organizing an additional night for us when we had to stay over. Yes there is a dog but he is not allowed to wonder into the guest areas. Good realistic pricing... More

We stayed at Caxton Manor over December, including Christmas day. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly, the house was spotless and the location ideal for us to visit all the sights in and around Cape Town and surrounds. What a surprise to get a gift for all guests on Christmas day, a gesture that shows the care and diligence... More

The accommodation was satisfactory but I wish I had heeded the review which mentioned the dog hair on the carpet and the droppings in the garden. I wouldn't use the pool as it was shared with the dogs.

We clearly show on all our websites that we have dogs (two Labradors) that are NEVER allowed in guest areas, guest bedrooms or the dining area. Unfortunately it does happen that dogs moult, but the B&B is cleaned scrupulously every day. Dogs also have need of toilet and the garden / lawn is hosed down twice daily. Labradors are inclined... What a wonderful place to spend some time away from home. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and spacious, this place felt like home. Alan and Anet were most hospitable and made us feel very welcome. All the amenities were available and the view of the mountain is spectacular. Secure parking for your vehicle is a bonus. Thanks for the great breakfasts Alan.... More

After our 21 day road trip through Eastern and Western Cape, Southern Free State and KZN, we can easily say that Caxton Manor was the most beautiful, hospitable, welcoming and generous B&B in our experience. I spilled my tea all over the delicate white tray cloth in our room. When I showed Anet the damage she was completely unfazed and... More

This was our third time staying at Caxton Manor. The owners Alan and Anet went out of their way to make our stay as pleasurable as possible and nothing is any trouble. It is affordable, spotless and we wont consider staying anywhere else when in Cape Town. We and all the other guests were invited for a braai with the... More

We were disrespected by establishment owner. After our first night at Caxton Manor, we were wrongly accused of burning the carpets it have fan heater. We were not happy with this and requested to sleep one more night and sign out the following day. Alan ( owner) was uncooperative and asked us to leave at 11:00pm at that night. As... More

The review "Wrongfully thrown out by B&B owner" omits certain pertinent facts 1. The guests arrived late on a Sunday evening without a booking 2. The carpet was burnt by an electric heater that was switched on face down on the carpet. 3. The guests denied damaging the carpet, but admitted using the heater. 4. The guests elected to leave... Don't bother looking anywhere else to stay in Cape Town . Constantia is the nicest area and is close to everything. A restaurant as good as The Cattle Baron and a pub as amazing as Peddlars on the Bend are both minutes' away. The b and b is skilfully managed by Anet and Alan who are proper folks. Spotless rooms...
