Jambo GuestHouse was a great place to stay. It is in an excellent location (10 minute walk to V & A Waterfront). The owners were very knowledgeable, friendly and hospitable. The Garden Room was very comfortable, the security was great and a wonderful breakfast was offered every morning in the beautiful kitchen.

What an excellent gem of a place to discover - the Jambo guest house is ideally situated just a short walk from the V&A Waterfront. The hosts Barry and Mina are just the most helpful, knowledgeable people you could ever wish to meet. The accommodation is fantastic as is the breakfast and with a bar on site for a night... More

Thank you so much Barry and Mina for such a wonderful stay. Everything was perfect and the girls were enchanted by you and their visit. I hope we weren't too hectic. I will definitely recommend Jambo to anyone visiting Cape Town.

Staying at Jambo is more like coming home than staying in a bed and breakfast on holiday. Barry and Mina were wonderful hosts, full of local knowledge and a real desire to ensure that their guests get the most out of their visit to Cape Town. The rooms are warm, cozy and immaculately kept; and there was always lively discussions... More

What a trip we had in Capetown, thanks in no small part to Barry and Mina, the owners of Jambo Guest House. We were treated like family in their beautiful Victorian Home. The home itself if immaculate, the fixtures are in pristine condition, and the decoration is tastefully eclectic. Barry took no less than 2 hours of his time to... More

We couldn't have made a better choice than to stay at Jambo during our holidays in Cape Town. Every day has simply been outstanding ! The service, our wonderful hosts Barry and Mina who have been amazing guides and extraordinarily friendly, the garden (oooh the garden !!!), the surprising tranquility even though it is located in the city centre, the... We stayed a week at Jambo, Barry and Mino were the perfect hosts. We felt at home, even did some washing and hung it on their washline in quartyard. I was serenaded by Barry on guitar at breakfast and he made me bowl of oats each morning. There was a variety of cereals, fruit, pastries and yoghurt as well. Mina such... More

I have stayed at Jambo at various times over the past few years and am always blown away by the way that Barry and Mina introduce guests to Cape Town. From the moment you arrive it feels like home. Unlike home, which in my case is in Norway, almost all the interesting places in central Cape Town are a short... More

Conveniently located. I enjoy walking and could easily reach the Waterfront, Mouille Point, Sea Point, The Waterkant..... The centre of town isn't too far away either. The guesthouse is clean and safe. The front entrance is situated in a dead-end street and is fairly quiet. The small garden with its koi pond and jacuzzi offers casual seating. There is even... More
