We stayed at 110 Waterkant for 5 nights and it was the perfect home base for our time in Cape Town. The 3-bedroom, 2-bath home is spread across 3 levels, including the rooftop deck with spectacular views of Table Mountain. There is also a spacious deck off the Master Bedroom. The staff at the office were extremely pleasant, very efficient... more

The apartment was perfect. Open plan kitchen with great island style counter and bar stools. Great for sipping wine or having a light meal. Great windows and lighting. And the views from the balcony - stunning. We had our evening nightcap outside on the balcony every night. The fireplace was an added treat as the evenings were a touch cool.... more

After a week at 169 Waterkant, I didn't want to leave. I have stayed in a fair few self-catering apartments, and never found one with such high-quality amenities and utensils, decorated with such taste, and so comfortable you feel like you're right at home. The location is fantastic, a short distance from the Waterfront and the main roads in and... more

This place was absolutely amazing. My partner and I stayed at three different cottages during our stay and each one was unique, very comfortable and well decorated. The price was very good for an entire cottage! Daily maid service as well - if you wish to cook your own food this is a huge +++. VERY comfortable beds and great... more

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with an 18 day trip to South Africa. We spent four days in one of the lovely homes that De Waterkant Cottages offers. Every evening we found ourselves on the roof-top deck of our cottage sipping wine while taking in the gorgeous views of Table Mountain and the V&A Waterfront. The cottage... more

My wife and I spent 6 nights at De Waterkant with our two daughters (6 and 4) during early July. Unfortunately, we arrived to meet a cold front that managed keep dark clouds around us for the entire stay. However, this did not damper our spirits, especially considering our heavenly accommodations. The space inside is so huge - great for... more

This was our first time to Cape Town and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was made all the better by the quality of the accommodation and its location in a delightful area, where you could walk to the bars and restaurants. The house had everything you could possibly want and have already recommended it and will be back next year... more

A great find and a great stay. The location was excellent and the staff, especially Shaun, very friendly. The accomodation was clean and had all the facilities you would need and some very good quality appliances too! On the question of the safe etc from a previous post let me say this, I went out one day and mistakenly left... more

We’ve just stayed for a week at 23 Loader Street which is one of the growing portfolio of De Waterkant Cottages. We’ve wanted to stay in De Waterkant for some time, although appreciate that the testosterone-loaded atmosphere of the gay village may be too much for some. In fact, weekend evenings apart, it’s pretty laid back, and one of the... more

Date : 17th January 2008 Reviewer : Michelle le Roux, East London, South Africa I decided to spend a week in Cape Town during my December 2007 vacation break. I found De Waterkant Cottages on the internet and was really impressed by their website. My son (aged 1 1/2) and I flew to Cape Town on the 28th December 2007... more
