Very nice garden and house furnishings. Alex and Johann were very friendly and helpful. Homemade breads at breakfast were delicious. Only negative was the stairs to get to the house and upstairs to the rooms.

The place is much more than a hotel. The beautiful villa with antique furniture has it's own atmosphere. It's well kept and immaculately clean. There's a swimming pool in the garden, while the garden itself is a gem with a view to the Ocean. The hosts were also extremely helpful and made an effort to take good care of us.... More

This is a fantastic gem, can't fault it in any way. When I arrived, the host helpfully gave me few tips for exploring local area, including booking table mountain tickets online, to save queuing. The house itself is amazing, full of character and history. The location is convenient for anywhere you might want to go, and I was lucky to... More

We felt welcome and safe from the moment we arrived (even though we were late) until we set off after a sumptuous breakfast beside the pool.... Rooms were beautiful (both our guest room and the public living rooms/areas); the view exceptional; the service beyond excellent! Sorry it was only for one night before venturing down the Cape... with great recommnedations... More

I am still sitting beside the pool under the trees at Huijs Haerlem waiting for our taxi to the airport. HHS is lovely. Beautiful gardens, warm welcome and an establishment that runs smoothly. The breakfasts by the pool are to die for, the rooms have great decor, there are plenty of public spaces. I thought we might be a bit... More

I booked this guest house because it was well within my budget. I worried slightly that it was a little out the way, but I shouldn't have worried at all - it is an easy 40 minute walk to the V&A Waterfront, and there is a bus stop within a 5 minute walk that gets you everywhere you need to... More
