Great stay at this cute boutique hotel. visited with a group of 6 people all in out late 20's and enjoyed it. The grounds are decorated really nice and the staff always ensures that your needs are met. The oatmeal and the orange juice oh and the croissants are amazing and really enjoyed sitting out on the patio eating breakfast.... More

This small hotel welcomes you with open arms and makes sure your stay is memorable. Beautiful decor, comfortable room, delicious and ample breakfast. Provided umbrellas for the rain, and small lanterns for the power outage (somewhat frequent in Capetown.) The staff is friendly and always greeting one with big smiles. The rooms are somewhat small, but so efficiently planned that... More

To me, it is more of a Bed and Breakfast extraordinaire than a boutique hotel. They have done hospitality so perfectly, you really feel like you are stepping into someone's home versus a boutique hotel. Someone who makes you amazing breakfasts, that has a fantastic espresso machine, lots of great snacks and an honor bar. The outdoor pool area is... More

Derwent House is a gorgeous hotel that's impeccably furnished. We stayed here as the first stop on our honeymoon and were so impressed by the attention to detail and the warmth of the staff. They really helped us with everything from restaurant recommendations to booking last-minute tours. The hotel is in a trendy area of Cape Town with loads of... More

I cannot describe how stunning Derwent House is. The way the place is decorated leaves you envious and looking to shop for things to add to your own house. We stayed here for 5 nights in 2 different rooms. The 1st room upstairs had a balcony and view of the mountain. In the evening, the sunset rolls in over the... More

When looking for a hotel to spend six nights at in Cape Town, I found the Derwent House on Trip Advisor. The reviews were great and I’m happy to say that my six-night stay exceeded expectations. I booked a fabulous room and that’s what it was. The room wasn’t large, but had everything I needed and it overlooked the pool... More

My husband and I were immediately charmed by the ambience and very kind hospitality of the owner, who arranged for us to enjoy a drink overlooking the pool as they made up our room a couple of hours earlier than the regular check in time. This chic boutique hotel goes out of its way to make you feel like family... More

My wife and I really love this place. The best part is the staff who treat you like family and pretty much do anything for you. We got an apartment, which is just a little outside the main compound, but with a suite instead of a single room. They left us snacks, a converter, picnic supplies, beach towels -- basically... Stayed in Derwent House for 6 nights. Great cosy boutique hotel altogether. We had room nr 2, with 2 balconies and therefor views to the city centre as well as the table mountain and the lions head (my favorite). The room itself was very small, so we had to remove a chair to have more space for our suitcases. The... More

My husband and I booked a 3 night stay here as part of our honeymoon and it was incredible! First off, the location was great, easy to get to from the airport (we rented a car and they even had free parking for us), views of table mountain, and right on Kloof st and Long st which were great to...
