This B&B is ideally located in a fantastic area of Cape Town. From here it is easy to explorer the city by foot. Absolutely big rooms, great & friendly staff. What a great idea to handout vouchers for the village cafe, where they serve a fantastic breakfast.

Stayed at The Charles for seven nights. Amazing location, amazing stay and amzing staff! The staff were very friendly and bent over backwards to assist. The neighbourhood is the best in Cape Town, colourful, friendly, with many cafes and bars. Also convienant for the V&A Waterfront and Cape Town centre making it a must. Had the best holiday ever.... A conveniently situated bed and breakfast lodge. I booked this through khulula holiday package which included flights, hotel and car higher all inclusive package. We'll worth it as I am an educator and can only travel during school holidays which is peak period and can be very expensive. Thanks to this holiday package that this is quite affordable. Rooms areervices... More

We stayed in The Charles for 5 nights and found it excellent. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble, but Dorian was exceptionally helpful. The guesthouse is in the Waterkant area, which is very cool and trendy and great for cool bars and great restaurants. And a 10 minute walk from the V&A waterfront. Our room... More

I stayed 2 nights in one of The Charles' self catering units in Loader Street. The location in the Waterkant is perfect - such a lovely neighborhood with steep streets, colorful houses and views of the sea and with lots of small boutiques and cafees around. On top of this, Loader Street is very quiet and peaceful - despite its... More

The Charles is a great place with great location! Room was nice, but extremely hot as there is no air conditioning in the room and the fan does not help at all. Staff were friendly. Will definitely stay there again!

The Charles is a gem in De Waterkant. Great room (#7), big with comfortable bed and open plan shower and bath. I think it´s good value for money as I booked "early bird". The staff was very helpful, carrying our heavy suitcases up and down all stairs. I will go stay here again next time in CPT.

My husband and I stayed 1 night here. The staff were friendly and the location great. It is situated in the heart of 'De Waterkant' it is surrounded by beautiful colourful streets and you can walk to restaurants and shops. It is a quaint 'town' and we had a wonderful adventure

We loved this accommodation in Cape Town! The area is great! There is a lovely roofdeck and the rooms were clean and cozy. We had everything we needed. The Village Cafe around the corner, where you will receive breakfast vouchers, is fabulous! My husband and I still talk about how delicious the breakfasts were there. The location is very central... My second time in Cape Town in 10 years. Greatly improved and gentrified and the gorgeous village cafe around the corner is still there. This is where we get breakfast vouchers for , it's a highlight! For the price , about 110 usd/nite , it's great . We got the biggest room in the Charles itself. Be careful and clear... More
