Great decor in the common areas and the rooms are very well appointed but small. Situated at the top of the CBD, it is a good spot for the Kloof Rd nightlife which is cosmo style cafes , restaurants and bars. Staff cou7ld be more attentive but overall good experience. more

We have just spent a week at the hotel and had a fantastic time. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. It is centrally located, with Long street just on the door and a 10 minute cab ride (or 30 minute walk) to the Waterfront. Fire and Ice is very centrally located in Cape Town. My favorite part about the hotel was its proximity to Kloof Street, which is within minutes of walking. Although oriented towards the younger traveler this inner city boutique hotel made quite an impression on this older traveler. Although easily the oldest person around I didn't feel out of place at all.
