Website says car park. Parking is on street. Car was broken into. Accommodation was fine. Breakfast was good. Don't advertise car park when you don't have one. Wouldn't of booked if I'd known it was on street parking. Cost me 6000zar in hire car repairs.

Dunkley House Guest House is ideally located in the Gardens area of Cape Town in a quiet street. It is within walking distance of Company Gardens. The staff are all very pleasant and helpful and the breakfasts are very good. We stayed in room 4 which is air conditioned and spacious but the ceiling in the bathroom area could do... More

What is it about Cape Town? I've stayed in two places and they've both made me work harder than I do at home. On arrival, the cold water didn't work and some bright spark had installed taps that required more imagination than a tired traveller to understand how they work. The wifi code was misquoted in the manual and the... More

2 night stay - great guesthouse in quiet location - close to town centre. In a street full of character terrace houses. Staff very helpful, clean and spacious rooms with all amenities . Lovely little private plunge pool was a welcome addition. Definitely recommend.

This is our fourth visit to Dunkley House and yet again it met our expectations in every way, even though the the property had changed hands the overall level of service remains at a high level, we would have no problems about returning.

The only reason why this review is no rated poor or worse is because the beds are very comfortable, the rooms are spacious, and the guest house is light, open, and airy so we didn't need the ac. We are seasoned travellers, some more than others, and have stayed in many guesthouses and bed & breakfast establishments in many different... More

The place overall is lovely, just that the room I stayed in, was directly off the dining area, which was a little bit bizarre. All in all, I will stay there again in business, and will also return with my husband as the feeling of the place, and the location are great.

This was a very quiet, peaceful, comfortable B&B. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is easy to travel into town from here, or during the daytime you can walk in via a nice park. The breakfast was delicious and generous, and the area nearby was nice to explore (I recommend the fantastic nearby Nelson's Eye restaurant if you... More
