I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Dunkley. The rooms are clean and modern, the staff are friendly and the food is delicious. The only reason it is not 5 stars is that my outside pool pump went off at 5am and was loudly spurting water which meant I couldn't sleep. After discussing with the staff, this problem was still not fixed... More

I stayed here for 2 stints - 4 nights and 3 nights, with a break in between. Why did I return? Great location, walking distance to Labia Theatre, Mount Nelson Hotel and The Turkish baths on Loop Street. Great buffet breakfast. Love the little touches - the menu, the coffee choices and Eunice, the chef's smile. If you want cheap... More

A wonderful 2 days in "old" Cape Town, enjoying the amazing history, starting with Dunkley House. Excellent service, excellent location. Lovely modern rooms with all amenities, and a breakfast to start the day on the right foot.

We were in the 'family' apartment. Comfortable, but décor and furniture looking a bit tired. However, the staff was fantastic- friendly, responsive, welcoming. There was a storm which broke a window in our daughter's room- I was amazed they were able to get it fixed that day! Great breakfasts. Excellent location.

Our 7th stay here and it's like coming back home each year. A warm and generous welcome from all the staff. Wonderful breakfasts cooked by Eunice who really pampered us. A little disappointment was that there was no dry white wine in the honesty fridge and none appeared whilst we were there for our 3 nights. This has never been... More

Was not what I expected from the webpage images. Rooms need some TLC and maintenance. Food (Breakfast) was good and kitchen staff very friendly. Parking is a big issue as you have to park in the road and sometimes even around the corner and walk to guest house. This was not fun at 1 in the morning.TV channels very limited.

A quiet, nice place near the center of town. The rooms are welcoming (great bathroom) and breakfast is good. It is on a side street and so it can feel somewhat isolated, and there isn't a stream of activity or staff around. The staff are friendly but overall service is average. However, for a short stay in the center of... More
